Selene sat up quickly in bed due to the pouding on the door. "What the! ... Eve, stay in bed." She told her daughter who was peeking from around the other bedroom door. Selene went to the front door and opened it. "James?" She said as she wasn't expecting to see him again.

Selene unpacked some clothes for Eve and led her to the bath. "Get yourself cleaned up for bed. I'll make some of your favorite tea." Selene told her and left the girl to bath herself, before going to finish unpacking, and set the teapot to boil.

Selene took the key from her pocket and unlocked the door; she sat the suitcases and backpacks down, then looked over at Eve and smiled. "Silly girl, you made such a mess when we hunted." She said as she removed the blanket from around her daughter, revealing the blood soaked shirt the girl had on.

Selene had a few suitcases in hand, and Eve following close behind her, the young girl had a small blanket wrapped around her shoulders as they returned to the apartment about 6 hours later. It was nightfall by then.

Selene could see how nervous her daughter seemed so she took the girl by the hand and sighed. "Look, I've showed you the place we're moving ... now lets go hunt, and then finish packing alright?" Selene said. Eve bit her bottom lip and nodded lightly. "Alright." She replied.

Right before Selene went to open the door, she heard her daughter call out for her. "Mum!" She cried out. Selene was at her daughter's side practically in an instant. "What's wrong Eve?!" Selene asked. Eve was looking around nervously. "I felt a hand on my back a few moments ago! ... I think this building is haunted mum!" The girl said. Selene frowned. "Darling ... I don't think this place is haunted ... You're just jumpy in a new enviroment." She tried to assure her.

Selene and Eve were in the the ground level floor of the building, which looked like a lobby; when they heard some muffled yelling and crashing sounds in another room. Selene paused and held Eve's arm, making her stop in her tracks. "Wait here Eve. I need to check things out." She whispered then drew her guns from their holsters then walked cautiously toward the staircase.

The next day Selene showed up with her 12 year old daughter Eve, who was wondering why they had to move. "But mum, why did we have to leave our other apartment? I had a friend there." The girl said sadly. Selene placed her hand on Eve's shoulder. "I'm sorry Eve, but this place is a better arrangement than what we had ... You see, with everything I already have to do, I didn't need to add working a human job, just for rent money ... here we have no living expenses ... I'm sorry you had to leave a friend, but we need to stay here for now." She said as she walked in with Eve.

Selene lay there for about 10 minutes then sat up. "I got too close ... What was I thinking? I never get that close to strangers." She said and shook her head. "Well ... I have no idea why he left me this apartment, but perhaps I can use it for a while." She said and left the place to go pick up her daughter and bring her there.

Selene frowned. then simply walked over to the couch and lay down. She felt something toward him that she couldn't understand, and he clearly couldn't care less. She had a hard time dealing with feelings of any kind, so she didn't really know how to handle the situation.

Selene didn't like that he was going. She wasn't some little girl who gets caught up on a crush, but she really felt curious about him, and did not want him to leave so soon. She went over to him and put her hands up on his shoulders and kissed him passionately, slipping her tongue between his lips and against his tongue.

Selene blinked a bit before she replied. "Oh I see ... Sorry I rushed to that conclusion ... You really seem like a trust worthy man, so I should have known you wouldn't do anything like that ...... I actually wish you were not leaving so soon ... I .. I'd like to get to know you more."
