Hiya! Welcome to my profile. You can call me Crystal. I'm a long time fan of Anime/Manga, Video Games, and British Comedy. I enjoy dabbling in science, science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy. I'm also fond of dragons, dinosaurs, and a wide range of supernatural and mythological creatures.

Stemming from a childhood fascination with Japanese Kaiju (Godzilla, Rodan, etc.), my love of Japanese monsters has enabled me to appreciate and obsess over both Digimon and Pokemon. I'm also a fan of Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist (including the original anime, the manga, and the Brotherhood anime), Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Saiyuki, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; as well as various works by CLAMP such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, and xxxHoLic.

When it comes to video games, I tend to prefer easier games that don't make me feel like I'm being punished for not being as skilled as other gamers. So, JRPG's with turn-based combat like Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Final Fantasy or Action RPG's such as Kingdom Hearts and .hack// typically work out best. I've also fared decently well at some of the Legend of Zelda games, namely Ocarina of Time and A Link Between Worlds, and also enjoy many entries in the Kirby series. Some friends convinced me to try out the Devil May Cry series, helped out strongly by the free demo of DMC5 on the PS4, so now that's also a thing.

I tend to avoid most platformers, not because I dislike them, but because I'm absolutely terrible at them which kind of detracts from the fun of trying to play them, but I still enjoy watching when someone else is playing Mario. I'm actually a sucker for the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games, even though I'm still incredibly bad at them, and occasionally dabble in an old DOS platformer series called Commander Keen, which I'm even worse at, much to the dismay of anyone who has ever watched me play because I just keep falling over and over and over again in the exact same place until I manage to get it right which can take forever, but dammit that hasn't stopped me from trying to play the games myself.

I enjoy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in its many incarnations. I also rather enjoy the comedic antics of Monty Python. A much more recent addition to my fandom vernacular, Doctor Who has steadily taken over by appealing to my enduring fascination with time travel.

I spend my time here on Gaia as a lurker of the forums, occasionally sending out anonymous gifts when I happen to be in possession of a desired item that I have no personal use for or strong attachment to. I also play Lake Kindred to pawn off loot at exceptionally low prices to gradually finance my wish list or to fund my GoFusion addiction. I've also dabbled in Gaia Alchemy enough to become a Level 10 Alchemist, but as a personal rule I only craft things for myself when it is more cost effective for me to do so than to just buy the finished product off the marketplace.
