So a little about me eh?
Well I'm training to become a police officer. I'm attending college to receive my associates in Criminal Justice. Once I'm 21 I will be able to go through P.O.S.T. (Police Officer Standards and Training). Unfortunately this costs almost $7000 dollars...
When I become an actual police officer, I plan on exploring all of the different opportunities that are available for such. I would like to try out for S.W.A.T., K9, S.R.O., and perhaps even detective. I don't think I'd like Narcotics though... Sounds boring...
Anyway, I'm currently a cadet, meaning my local police department already trains me in police tactics, and allows me to go on ride alongs with any police officer / forensic unit that would be willing to take me. So I hang out with police every Saturday. (I bought an $80 flashlight for my police cadet uniform...).
I was given the "Law Enforcement Student of the Year" award at my highschool, and got a banquet. I was also given a scholarship (which came with another banquet), and a few awards from my school for becoming an outstanding student. For those of you who knew me before, that's an amazing accomplishment for me.
Anyway.. I've been trained in CPR, and I plan to work as a Police Dispatcher as soon as I become of age, which is 19. And as of writing this, (August), I'm only 18. So the time is near. My current place of employment however, is as a landscaper / maintenance assist at an apartment building. It's been keeping me super busy. I even ended up getting a second job for my S.R.O. (School Cop) helping him with his own business.
I'm not as uptight as I used to be. I've honestly changed a lot. I hope at least some of you will get to know me... Again
biggrin . And hopefully you like the new me. I'm still an Atheist, but my reasons as to why I am so have changed significantly. I'm also still into the same kind of music, but even my music preferences have expanded.
Well I suppose that's all I can think of. Feel free to ask me questions however, especially about Police work
