So that's what that means!
I've only heard that there was the buy, but I didn't know that was the result.
Since that's the case, I'm for it!

Although, I wonder if this will have any impact on more adult-oriented shows?
Like, how when I was a kid, the X-Files had some content that was considered for mature audiences when it was airing on Fox.
Because if they decided to make Fox into something more like the Disney channels, I'd probably slink away from it the same way I did when MTV in the 90's turned into... some form of garbage that still makes me cringe bringing it up. talk2hand

But thanks for telling me about this!
It's still great news! emotion_hug emotion_awesome

There are newer versions of that movie, I think, but you're right - Jack Nicholson is probably my favorite of all, and I did love him as the best version of the Joker.
He always makes for a great, unique character!
I don't remember much about The Shining, never really scared me, but that's another thing you mention - it's harder for older movies to scare people because of how it's advanced so much - back then there were only so many 'good' horror movies but they were unique - Freddy with his glove, Jason with his machete and slow pace, Michael with his hockey mask - but then nowadays its robotic beasts, science experiments gone wrong, alien invasion, and there are so many movies that share these themes yet do things differently from each other to make the list of 'good' horror movies keep expanding.
Like said, Freddy - back in the day, he was probably scaring the pants off of people - and then after seeing so many movies similar to his (Stick Man, Boogeyman,) with their newer-age stuff, it's making it harder for Freddy to still be scary.
But I still love the old ones the best! heart
I agree with the Shining's music, but I guess that could also have helped throw people off, since most of the time it's ominous music before something bad happens. XD
The moving animal hedges would have been awesome, I think. emotion_0A0

As my sister and her fiance are major fans of the movie and Jack, they have told me about the opinions of what he liked vs what he didn't like, and the Easter eggs and symbolism of stuff.
But since I'm not really a fan of the movie, it was kind of hard for me to follow along with interest. sweatdrop
I might've seen the TV series but I don't remember that either. XD

Doesn't matter if it's not comic related, it's still fun to talk about! emotion_awesome
Another fan of Jack Nicholson + 1
XD

Interesting theories, I've never considered reading up on them.

Another interesting fact you might not know about:
Jared Leto (who played the Joker in Suicide Squad) is the lead singer in the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, and they did their own homage of some of the Shining in their song, The Kill. (Graphic.)

I'm the one who actually got my mom hooked on hero movies (she never watched them before but now loves them,) and I got my sister hooked on comic books (she used to hate them, now collects them.)
Apparently I know what's good. rofl

Since I've got so many random ones, I can't say I've really stuck to anything; just The Crow and Shade the Changing Man comics.

I loved the cartoon shows!
The original Teen Titans (before the odd version) and JL + JL Universe.
Haven't seen YJ but have heard about it!
Is that one on TV or something?
Have you seen Static Shock or Batman Beyond?
I think I've got an Avengers cartoon somewhere, got a Next Avengers (never seen.)
Got a Lady Death anime-style movie, based on a cartoon character. (Pretty graphic, but good for a Halloween selection.)
My sister's into Blue Beetle, but what she likes, I'll probably like, since our tastes are real similar. XD

Captain America is inspirational~ heart
Used to go to a middle school, where someone painted a Captain mural, with him posing in front of a giant American flag.
Not sure what Champions is, surprisingly.
I'm surprised someone knows who Ms. Marvel is, and Howard! emotion_brofist
Never heard of Squirrel Girl, but it looks interesting.
The others you mention, are all awesome. emotion_kirakira
Have you come across anything called Cloak and Dagger?
I like Cloak & Dagger, it's pretty interesting!

Well, if you wanna talk about comics for days, I can listen! emotion_awesome

How awesome is that!
Comic fans! emotion_brofist
I love so many comics by so many different ones - DC, Marvel, Kitchen Sink Press, Vertigo, Dark Horse, Image - so many!
Unfortunately, 75% of my comics are random, one-page selections that I've bought for super-cheap prices.
(This was before discovering comic book websites - pure heaven! ...wallet cripplers.) rofl
I've not seen or heard of Trinity, but I have for all of the rest!
Love: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, Nightwing, Teen Titans, Justice League, Deathstroke.
Don't know much of, but heard of the names: Blue Beetle, Titans.
Never heard of Super Sons.
But since I haven't read all of the comics, I can't give an opinion on favorites or much topic discussions.
And I love so many characters from so many different comics for so many different reasons - I can't have just one, it's just like Pokemon!

I'll basically read anything.
Got a few stacks of The Crow comics - love it!
Bought the entire collection of Shade the Changing Man - love it!
Also, I love comics that have John Constantine in them, but unfortunately I own none of them, but love it anyways!
Started reading Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman - I think I'll love it as well!
Just found some of The Question comics at a comic book store - I loved him in the JL Universe cartoons, pretty sure I'd love his series!

As for new stuff, I haven't been ready anything.
I just figured I'd buy the old ones of characters I like, read them up to today's time.

Thanks!

I didn't know about this game until probably just now, or if someone told me about it, I've forgotten.
I haven't seen the images of it before until now.
Sounds like Okage: Shadow King - hidden gears every. location. ever. and if you miss them, I don't think you could go back (or maybe you could) but it forms an ultimate weapon or some such.
And Drakengard does the same thing I think - have to unlock all weapons for purposes.

I do like how the books are different from the shows, or else it'd be boring because everything would be expected.
Didn't care for the shows (not that scary) but I'd think the books would be better - imagination can run wild. XD

I haven't seen that movie yet but I really want to! emotion_0A0
Pet Sematary - I liked it more than the second one, because it had better actors.
Also, if you see who plays Jud and what TV show the actor was on - not sure if you've seen the show, I'll keep it a mystery.
Pet Sematary 2 - strange movie, kind of changes the 'how this works' between the first film's rules and second film's rules, but creepy.
You should definitely check them out!

How cool is that.
I've never checked out an audiobook, but I do have a zillion comic books and books to read. XD

I saw the preview for Ready Player One, and I'm so-so about it.
Everyone's raving because of "It took years to make" and "They finally got the licensing agreement" but, my concernicus is:
In the trailer, I just saw a 50+ player mash-up fight, filled with exploding backgrounds and explosive weapons.
It just looked like someone threw in characters, told them all to fight to the death, and added a million explosions.
Hopefully it has a little more substance than that. sweatdrop

Reading your comment - no doubt you have been busy, wow. emotion_0A0
Good to hear you're doing well. emotion_yatta

Is it bad to say that I'm practically a dinosaur when it comes to games these days?
I don't know what Steam games are, or DoubleFine, or Psychonauts, or Costume Quest. x-x
All I know is games from the old PS2 and my 3DS game, Pokemon Moon. sweatdrop

Gosh, listening to audiobooks as well while working?
I've never even heard an audiobook before, I've only read books. XD
And I've not read the books for either of them, The Shining or It, though I've seen all of the movies.
Not to sound like one of the worst, weirdest people on earth, but his movies tend to bore me.
When I was a kid and I saw Cujo, it didn't give me a single goosebump - but it scared my school friends.
And these days people are like, "That was a scary movie!" and I'm always like, "...still not scary at all."
The only one that kind of got to me was Pet Sematary, but that was because I already had a fear of dead animals - plus, in real life, I have a cousin named Gage who basically was a little monster. rofl

Nothing else is new around here.
Haven't gotten around to the Sims game yet (probably later today,) still playing Moon and getting on here to talk.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving! emotion_kirakira
