AboutI am Cardboard Creations, formerly Malinfangirl. I had a very brief profile but I’ve updated it.
Cool stuff about me:
I can ride a unicycle. My official level (the certified ones that are recognized by most unicycle clubs and classes) is 2. I can hop, do a half-pedal-back, free mount (mount without holding onto something) with both feet, idle (basically just back-forth, back-forth to stay in the same place for a long time), as well as various group tricks like zipper, stars, dosey-does, etc. I can kinda do stomach on seat. Kinda. (The truth: I can do stomach on seat, but I can’t turn in it yet. I can sometimes get out of it while still riding but I can’t get into it while riding yet.)
I can juggle. Well, with balls I can do 3 or 2 in one hand, which is harder than it sounds. I am working on juggling with clubs and rings. However all I’ve earned is bruises. (Yes, things do fall on your head! A lot!)
I like drawing things. My most recent obsession is dragons.
I write stories.
I love reading. Mostly fantasy, and I’m picky. Tamora Pierce is one of my favorite authors. I also like Gail Carriger, Patricia C Wrede, and many others.
I am fond of making things out of cardboard
I sew costumes for myself and sometimes my sister.
I am not flexible at all. It’s very sad and painful as the most flexible thing I can do is a bridge. Ad my splits are almost a foot above the ground. But I’m working on them!
I’m shy. Mostly with people older than me.
I love running around in nature and climbing trees.
I can almost knit.
I have glasses and I’m five feet tall. Thankfully still growing but my parents predict that I will stop soon and not be tall. Oh well. I’ll live. Besides, I like my size.
In real life I NEVER wear dresses, skirts, or anything formal/fancy/girly even though I hate the word girly as it carries assumptions and stereotypes. But on Gaia, I have my avatar express what I think of as good taste in clothes- even if I’d never wear it. As Genevieve Lefoux p, crossdressing gay inventor known to sport a fabulous mustache says in the Finishing School Series, “I like a nice hat on a lady.” Wise, for all that she is nine years old when she says it.
I need some friends I’m lonely.
