O_O That second comment on pronunciation was in the wrong profile, sorry ! (I'm such an airhead sometiiimes... )
But you're welcome, and thank -you- for a lovely thread
Gaia really isn't always the best place for some discussions. They have this breed of creatures who think that replying to a post by slicing it into bits makes them oh-so-clever. ;xp
And they will take it seriously, because as the old saying goes... "Teh Internetz iz sriouz businezz".
I like you, because you have handled a very irritating, pseudo-intellectual, smartass wannabe dude in ways that I wish I had thought of years ago, when I had to deal with some of those.
And for the record, I had considered drawing fanart to sell (because I need money rather badly right now), but your thread got me thinking twice, and I'll follow my first instinct - to stick to my originals.
I do draw fanart for fun, but selling it really does feel too wrong. I'd feel like a shameless thief, and I don't care that a friend of mine tells me about how "everyone does it".
If one uses someone else's character for, say, parody purposes, however (such as the examples in your thread), seems to me that that should be perfectly allowed - since I don't see it as actual fanart anymore. But there's still room for argument even there, depending a lot on the situation.
