Probably the best outcome available, all things considered.

It does seem that way; so many truly don't give a ******** about anyone but themselves and their kid (sometimes). They cause so much misery it's easy to forget that there are still a majority of caring kind people out there. Those that are, tend to be the quieter ones, the ones people take for granted and don't notice so much.

Just drifting....there is so much to notice in life, all that is needed is to pay attention to be inspired. The things I pay little attention to are trendy things, other people's opinions, influencers, etc. as ephemeral and of little impact except how they influence what is available to buy and how they influence entertainment themes in books and shows. I'm always relieved when bad trends and styles end.

Sounds like we're in the same boat. Shame on that relative not caring of the risk he put the rest of you in. I'm surprised your family didn't kick him out after that if he still refused to be responsible. If he's still there, it might be wise for you to see if you can live somewhere else.

Eventually I will have to risk vaccines, at least for shingles and an updated covid booster. It was the 31 in 1 pneumonia vaccine that did me in. I never got the other one so only vaccinated against 2/3 of the common strains out there and given what happened I can't risk it.

It's idiotic the reaction so many people have to others wearing a mask and refusing to wear one if they're sick themselves. They need to get over themselves and start caring about the effects their neglect has on others.

Maybe start by seeing what seems like fun to try? Try many things, some will work out well, some won't work at all, but it's how you learn you and what you can do and what you love to do. People who enjoy life the most never stop exploring, doing different things at different times in life and exploring topics of interest.

It sounds like your family got hit especially hard. I'm glad your dad survived, what an ordeal. My husband and I haven't had so much as a cold since before 2020, because we've been careful, take precautions when needed. I reacted really badly to a vaccine a couple of years ago (not covid) but for now it's not safe for me to take any more. So I still use masks in some situations. My husband is fully vaccinated however and I hope you and your family is too to prevent something like that from every happening again.

We do make a good team and have had decades to fine tune that, lol. No, it's never perfect but it works.

That only means you haven't discovered your talents yet. Everyone has things they're good at and enjoy doing. Time to start exploring?

Thank you. And yes, it's more major than I realized when I got it. As well as spending time in the hospital during the hard shutdowns in 2020--relatives were not allowed in the building and a large percentage of people there were there due to COVID, there was short staffing (which caused a 4 month's delay of the surgery and if it had been any longer I would have died) and no vaccines as of yet. I did get treated well though, just an unnerving situation all around. My husband's surgery is outpatient at least.

Yep. No one is great at everything and no one is bad at everything. Fortunately for us, neither of us is bad at the same things so we cover well.

I've just played long enough to know it's quirks, plus I read all the guides starting out too. The people that write them are wonderful; I just collected them plus added a few things.
