Well, I was once a part of the world, not a party goer, nor a drinker or smoker, or the like... but I was still just like everyone. My brother in Christ Garwin put it as, "an upstanding citizen" and he also said as a testimony, and this applies to me,"
Jesus can save upstanding citizens.

I went to church on Sunday for about 18 years of my 21 year life. Then a friend of mine lent me the book: "Ten Commandments Twice Removed", which led me to question the Sabbath... I can tell you, when that was put in my heart, I think I became saddened, because, if I could question, whether God's own handwriting in stone was changeable, then did I truly trust in God, for one year I stopped going to church.

In August 2009 I got an invitation to a church on the Sabbath. I learned much Biblical Truth from that church, much more than I thought was possible in such a short time, I was encouraged to pray more, fast more, read more, but I left that church eventually, while they had the truth, they preached one thing that irked me from the 1st day I got there... Jesus was coming in 2012, as it so happened, the day I had planned to leave, I prepared an admonition for them, but I never got the chance to do it, so I left.

Matthew 24:36 - But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

I went to another church, same denomination (I don't like the concept of denomination by the way, Jesus made one way:
Matthew 7:13 -14:
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. )

If you didn't know before, there are many lies in mainstream Christianity, there is none in True Christianity. For all lies are of the devil.

My motto is: "Let absolute truth prevail!"

Biblical Truth is the aim:
John 4:23 - 24:
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Thank you! I like seeing things like this, to help me. Whether rebuke or something trying to comfort, whatever helps edify the Spirit. I'll admit, I have a hard time with rebuke sometimes. ESPECIALLY in person or over the phone, I think. But when I get alone? It's easier for me to think. Or if I just read it, too.

Thank you for replying =) I saved your comment on my computer to visit again in the future. I enjoyed it, and as refreshing as it was for you to write it, it was just as refreshing to read it. I grew up with, and have always used the King James Version as well.

I am happy that you read my post and it had an effect on you. My brother repeats, to me this verse, his favourite actually:

To be honest, I don't like the concept of denominations because it means division, if many are saying Christ then why does Christianity have to have as much as over 30000 denominations... but the "denomination" I'm associated with is Church of God 7th Day...

About True Christianity vs Mainstream Christianity...

I was in the mainstream for most of my life, which is why I feel so convicted about it. If we look at a lot of Christianity today, particularly the holidays, I see that many

are dedicated to God. But where in the Bible did God command these holidays to be celebrated... I first ask the question, if we have something abominable, and we give

that abominable thing THE BEST COVER EVER, is that thing any less abominable? When I ask that question, many will answer and say that its still abominable.

But I ask them about the origin of Christmas or Easter and the other traditions that have been exercised in this religion due to [b]Syncretism[/b] and I have always heard the beginning of justification.

In case you are wondering, that best cover ever, would be Christ.

I like the entire Bible and believe that both OLD and NEW Testaments are to be used in the PROPER context as it relates to what Jesus Christ taught us.

I know I am not perfect, and as I tell many people I talk with, especially in person, don't just take my word for it, please look for it.

It something I started to do, I don't just take the preacher's word for it, I look for it. Be a like those of Berea... a Berean

I'll leave you with this though... That when I was younger, I'd always just believe what the pastor said, and in His context. When I began to read for myself, and pray

I found some truth, I give God all the credit for this new perspective. And I believe what God's Word was saying in Revelations was saying when He said,

We should also be careful of certain Bibles, there are verses missing in them. Which is why I now understand these verses a little better now:

Although I could be wrong, in saying this, many Bibles have copyrights, which means they are of private interpretation. I use the KJV, I like it, poetic and true.

Very interesting and inspiring to read both, and both were well thought out and researched. I also read your About Me. May I ask (simply out of curiosity) exactly which denomination are you? If you stated it someone amongst the threads/replies/etc and I am blind and just missed it, forgive me. I am asking because I saw you say something about not switching your denomination but some of it was covered up by avatars/pics all over your profile page. I was also curious on True Christianity and Mainstream Christianty? You said Mainstream Christianity is not the truth. How do you know the difference?
