Well, it's certainly better than not being able to read anything lol... I think it's pretty exciting when I can read two characters ^_^;
Yes, I've heard that before... it's amazing, as well as ridiculous, and kinda makes me think I'll never read a Japanese newspaper haha. I definitely like English because you only need to know 26 letters... and, of course, how to put them together, but 26 is so much less than 6,000 >_<

Oh, the movie was something about a murder, I think. And it's either that movie or another scary one that was based on a true story, so... I just hope it's not that one, 'cause that would freak me out haha...
Yeah, I love japanese, it's a really pretty/interesting-sounding language =D

Well, I do know some (okay, a couple) characters, but no kanji so far... Yeah, it does look extremely hard, haha... so many lines, one difference and it means something completely different =/ Do you know some/a lot of kanji?
Haha, no, you don't xD I go to college in Amittyville, Long Island, NY. There was a movie made about something that happened there, but I'm not going to see it until I'm not going to college here anymore lol...

Wow~ really? The weather must have been really hot there (or eerily cool.. depends on area). x__X;
Were you there for vacation or something?
I wish I can visit there one day... ;u; (the best chances for me to go is if I go there as a study-abroad student in a few years or become a English teacher assistant or something.. but that's even longer than the study-abroad option haha...).

The course I'm taking this semester is JP3, English, US History, and Intermediate piano.
So far.. it's kind of free and easy.. but I can't let my guard down too much haha ;;.

Well, the end of my Senior year was really crazy. We had all sorts of tests and the graduation ceremony was nuts. I decided to stay home and pick up my diploma the next day. I invited my family over for dinner and we had cake afterwards. It was a nice get together and I got to show off my cap and gown. 4laugh

I'm just enjoying my time being out of school right now. It was so weird not to go back this year. XD

No problem, I just forgot what I said lol...
That's cool! I'm learning Japanese right now too, Rosetta Stone... I haven't done it in a while, though =/
Haha, I'm almost done with college away from home, but I can't wait to finally be back home! Though I do go visit almost every week... not much else going on, I suppose. You?

Haha, I miss talking to you!
While you're a sophomore in high school, I'm a sophomore in college (kind of.. I'm still behind in general ed credits).
How are you doing?

How cool~ Since San Diego isn't that close to where I live, I hadn't thought of applying. ^^;
Are you applying for the CSU system or UC system. They're both "state" based.. except UC is more prestigious. XD
Although I only got into 1 UC (like said.. my personal statement was subpar and entry rate lowered during my time), I got into all of the state universities I applied. XD; I kind of wished I actually took the initiative to take their entry exams anyway... but that's something of the past now. Now all I can do is either graduate and transfer.. or just transfer.

Either way, I think it's harder because your present residency is out of state~ I wish you luck~~ =D

I hope at least that some of her students do understand her. Otherwise, there would be more than you and your friends' complaints. XD;

Hmm... I'll go check~ but I remember having a video on my profile once and it didn't automatically play. Maybe there's a different link or embed that keeps it silent when first loaded?

Ah.. I didn't apply to any schools there. ^^;
If I did.. I might've gotten into the UC there haha ;;.

Isn't that a hassle for your teacher to hand out irrelevant notes? o__o;;
Not only she has to plow through many wrong solutions in students' tests, but also to face a class that isn't really understanding what she's trying to say.
Currently, I'm liking my math teacher a lot because he explains the process rather well. ^^; However, if you miss a step, you'll end up missing the general process for that particular problem. Thankfully, he's open for questions.

.. Hey, is it possible if you can disable the autoplay loading of your directly-linked youtube video? Sometimes I visit your profile, but I also often get blasted with your video's audio as well. XD;;

Ahh.. I'm so sorry for not commenting sooner! XD;
I didn't have time to read your comment nor do much of the things I want to do.

I got into AP US History in my senior year. It was more or less take a ton of notes so it was a matter of self-study.. which I didn't do ahah ;;.

I usually try to start early, but I remember a few occasions where I winged a paper the night before.
Haha, I guess your teacher expects the students to know the basic methods by memory. Well, bullet lists also act as a visual, and that helps get things sorted out as well.. most of the time. It really depends on the writer overall.

Haha, since my personal statement was crud (I honestly didn't try hard enough to be honest) and the competition was evidently rough (most college students mentioned the competition), I had enough qualifications, but I got weeded out LOL. Riverside automatically admitted me with a full scholarship (now here's my boasting.. LOL :]..), but I backed out last minute just so I can attend a school closer to my home.

I hope you can get into the class(es) of your choice by the time you're in your senior year! I took some AP classes when I was in high school, but some were essentially hit or miss for me as my specialties are either at the recommended level while others are... lacking. >_>; As for English Honors, I was one of those students who had little to no previous memory on grammatical terminology. =D
My teachers weren't very pleased with the state of the class, so we took a detour for a while in order to review/relearn those terms.

I think the reason why I was able to keep some of the information sorted in a orderly fashion may have something to do with the creation of basic bullet outlines. =D
Before writing a paper/essay, I would usually create a incredibly basic outline to sort out major ideas. It doesn't work if I hand-write the essay, but it works wonders if I am able to type it up.
Aside from a outline, I usually (not always) follow your questions in order based on your response, so it's easier to answer than to jump all over the place. I DO jump all over the place (or maybe that's just my assumption after viewing the huge lumps of text I manage to conjure), but I guess it's not as haphazard-like according to your observation.
Well, for your case, maybe trying a simple quick outline may help out with organization of thoughts. The format may appear like the basic format (intro > body points 1-2-3 > conclusion), but it certainly does help a lot. The body obviously can be expanded with more points as that particular format irks English honors/AP courses as much as poor sentence structure, misused vocabulary, etc.

I was originally aiming for the University of California colleges, notably Irvine as it's close to the beach. However, that didn't go as planned. I did manage to get into one UC, but even I had to (last minute) reject my invitation in favor of family concerns, duties, and responsibilities. I moped for a while, but I am glad of my decision as I was able to learn more things. Community Colleges may not be comparable to 4 year institutions, but they do offer more open opportunities to learn than others (like learning a foreign language... the UC I was about to go to insisted on taking some placement language exams even though I had little to no previous knowledge...). The tests cost a bit of money too. =|

Ah, as much as I like the violin, I'm not learning it right now. I'm currently studying how to play a piano/keyboard. The practices can be a bit grueling at times, but the next time I practice, I noticed that I no longer struggle as much from the previous practice session. ^o^ Wow~ that's really amazing that you are learning how to play the cello! As for songs I normally listen to.. I usually like songs within the "ballads" range. I listen to other varieties, of course, but some songs don't evoke emotions as strongly as ballad-like songs.. at least in many occasions. Despite the genre I like, I mostly like Japanese ballad songs. ^^; Some songs in English just doesn't.. appeal to me haha ;;. How about you?

I'm happy to know that you're able to converse with me about Japan's geography, stats, and matters of living there comfortably with me~
Even though I like some aspects of Japan, I'm still not too knowledgeable on it and I like learning about it along the way than to forcibly read it up. =
I feel that if I'm interested and that "vibe" perseveres, then I'm able to "enjoy" it~ ^^

The gaps are terrible alright~ after many years of English study, there's a assumed assumption that the knowledge is preserved while writing English papers (or research papers). Goodness, I dislike them as my arguments come out pretty weak. Pretty language usage doesn't always pull through LOL.
Learning another language does reinforce the use of technical grammatical terms though! I hope that the teaching material provides a textbook containing basic concepts that is covered in their English curriculum.

Hehe, what colleges do you have in mind? If my family lived fairly comfortably, I would've ventured out elsewhere to more prominent institutions, but that's something from a year ago.

I would try to take some art classes, but the materials are quite expensive. ^^; My sister's taking them instead (technically, she's taking animation courses, but they're within the artistry field). So for now, I'm trying my luck with another form of art: music. Of course, my skill is nowhere near the minimum of being creative myself, but I'm looking forward to playing pieces from songs I'm rather fond with.
