Not a problem, Jen. Wasn't sure how often you and Amber are around Gaia anymore, but I figured it's still nice to leave birthday wishes even if they are received after the fact.

As for myself, I am doing pretty well overall. Between working and family, life is keeping me busy.

How about yourself? What are you up to these days?

Well, I do understand that the point of Memorial Day is for us to take the time to remember those who fought and died for our country, and that is not something I wish to diminish or demean. However, it also made me think of memories of times shared here with friends on Gaia. So, I wanted take a moment to send this note to some of my favorite Gaian friends as a little holiday inspired gift.

Not sure when (or even if) you'll see this message, but please know that you are still remembered fondly by some of your old friends.

Ouch! Being that badly burnt on the back of the knees would be brutal... The simple act that walking alone would aggravate the wounds painfully.

Glad that the burns were only on my shoulders and upper chest. It's been about a week, and most of the burns have already lessened and healed.

Just a little pinkness left to some areas... And dealing with the peeling of skin, which is somewhat contributing to said pinkness. redface

The Smoky Mountains in eastern Tennessee, where it was hitting the high 90's most of the days the week that I was vacationing there. I was staying at a resort, which had an outdoor pool. Apparently, I wasn't applying enough sunscreen one of the days and ended up getting pretty badly burnt on my shoulders and upper chest. Ended up being so bad that they were second degree burns.

No worries, AC. I figured you'd been busy with real life stuff... Might have ended up being some belated birthday wishes by the time you received them, but hoping that you still had a good one.

Not much going on in my proverbial neck of the woods. Just slogging through work, but I have had a few trips here and there over the summer.

It has indeed been quite some time since I last had the pleasure of your company. Things have been movingly along on my end. Work has been fairly horrific this summer, since I lost a great deal of my staff and have been slowly hiring and training their replacements. Meant that I've been puling a lot of extra hours and covering extra shifts over the weekends. Starting to get back to normal but I'm fairly exhausted from it all. Fortunately, I'll be heading south on Friday for a week long vacation. Nothing special besides getting out of town for a while...

Speaking of which, when last we spoke you were getting ready to travel to Europe... So how did it go? Did you have an enjoyable time?
