Arishia Ikusa was born in Midgar, but her and her parents moved to Nebelheim because her mother was raised and she loved how quiet it was compared to Midgar. It was just two months after Arishia was born when her mother developed a disease that killed her slowly and painfully. No one knows what killed her because Arishia's mother was the only one to catch it. Arthur Ikusa was devistated with the death of his wife Olivia. Arthur was also stuck with raising his precious little girl.

As Arishia grew in Nebelheim, she developed a friendship with Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart. Arthur became friends with Cloud's father and that's how Arishia and Cloud were introduced. Arishia was introduced to Tifa by Cloud. It was when Arishia was 6 and Cloud was 8 when her father decided to move to Midgar because it would be closer to his job, ShinRa. Arthur was a second class SOLDIER when Arishia was born, but now he was a SOLDIER 1st Class and one of the best along with Angeal, Sephiroth, and Genesis. Arishia looked up to her father as a major role model. She even told her father how she wanted to join SOLDIER one day and work by his side.

Though new ShinRa recruits have to be at least age 16 to join, Lazard made an exception and let Arishia join SOLDIER as a temproary infantryman. He knew that Arishia had what to takes to be promoted to SOLDIER 3rd Class when she was old enough. Arishia worked hard every day and she showed dedication to her father showing him that she was serious about becoming an official SOLDIER. Arishia was even allowed to go on missions with her father but her father only.

When she turned 16, Arishia was promoted to SOLDIER 3rd class. She was sent on various missions with other SOLDIERs and developed close friendships. Since Arthur was worried about Arishia's education, he made her begin to study once more. Some of the elder SOLDIERs and secretary's agreed to tutor Arishia. This is when Arishia met the guy that caught her attention the most. One night her father was tutoring her and a young man named Zack Fair came into the room to ask her father a question. After seeing him, Arishia brushed off her uniform and made her hair look pretty for him. Arishia has developed her first crush. Her father saw this and asked Lazard for her and Zack to be assigned together on the next mission. He was approved his request.

The next mission Arishia was assigned to go with her father and Zack. Just seeing Zack walk down the hall made Arishia get butterflies in her stomach. Their mission was to find Sephiroth and stop him from his rampage. When they encountered Sephiroth, he killed Arishia's father my impaling him in the heart. When she returned to ShinRa, Zack was stationed to go back to Nebelheim and he was gone for 4 years.

After the years passed, Arishia was 20 and a 1st Class SOLDIER. She was notified that two fugitives were on the run. She was assigned to help capture them and take them down. Arishia went to Gongaga with a couple of the turks to find out that it was Zack and Cloud on the run. Arishia kept her distance and one night while they were hiding, she appeared in front of Zack and told him she was going to help them escape. That night Arishia unleashed her love for Zack. He was touched and kissed her with passion. One thing led to another and they ended up making love under the dumbapple tree. The next morning, after saying goodbye to Zack with one final kiss, she went and told the plan to the turks. They were all for it and they were notified that they were on their way to Midgar. Arishia rushed faster than any turk could in a vehicle.

By the time Arishia made it to close to midgar, she noticed many corpses on the ground and one caught her eye. The corps that caught her eye was none other than Zack's. She rushed down to try and aid him. He was covered in bullet wounds and had already lost a lot of blood. Arishia was devistated and she held his hand until she heard Cloud come drom behind the rocks. Arishia hid so then Cloud wouldn't see her. She saw that this was Zack's final moment. Tears filled her face as she covered them with her gloves. When she heard Cloud stream, she knew he was gone. After Cloud left with his sword, she went back to his body and saw he died with a smile on his face. Her last words she said to him was "I love you".

Two months after Zack's death, Arishia found out she was pregnant. She thought it was a tumor until she went to the doctor and it was a heart beat. Arishia never thought it could be possible, but it was. She was pergnant with Zack's child. On June 25, she gave birth to a baby girl and she named her Aolani. Aerith, Tifa, and Cloud told her they would help out with Aolani. Aolani grew up with Aerith during the day because Arishia found a job to support her and her daughter. Aolani became mainly the peaceful type and loved flowers like Aerith. As Aolani grew, she began having Zack's facial features. She gave Aolani the nickname "Little Puppy".
