Dance's Phantom, I have not seen in the longest time, but yes, Lon Chaney is not to be ignored. I enjoyed his performance as it is closest to Leroux's book. But unfortunately, gaia's current limitations (no black mask, no face mod that allow hallowed eyes), make it impossible to replicate these versions. Perhaps some other time then.

Thank you for the comment on my Phantom entry, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. I must say though, that was never intended to be Butler's portrayal, rather I was referring to the staged version of the show as it is meant to be seen.

I'm not that fond of Butler either, and there are far too many avatars of the 2004 Phantom in the arena.

I understand the broke thing. Yes, Japanese can be very frustrating if you don't have the right teacher. the teacher I study under, she is very good with teaching kanji, but grammar not so much. I hate having grammar with her because she just doesn't know how to teach it. no one in my class could understand her. We all had to seek outside help. It just baffles me because she's been teaching Japanese for 25 years and everyone i know in all levels have to seek outside help for Japanese grammar. So I wonder if that is always how it's been learning under her. So, I get what your girlfriend went through. Sometimes a good old fashioned book burning sounds amazing.

Ah ja, that is really cool. Same here, I am working on my Japanese right now. My Spanish is better, but I don't get many opportunities to speak it so I'm sure I am not so good with it now. Do you plan to continue learning it?
