My name is Alexandria Paige.
I am seventeen years old, and a Junior in high school.
I have had a 4.0 GPA my whole life.
I'm very much into art, music, and theatre.
I drew these.
Of course they're much better in person.
You'd be surprised.
I play several instruments: clarinet, guitar, piano, ukelele, bass guitar, and recorder.
I'm a band geek, and proud.
I'm going to be a character designer for videogames someday.
Maybe do tattoo art on the side.
I have five piercings. The only somewhat exotic one is in my left eyebrow.
I'm opinionated.
I don't believe in God.
I think socialism is the way to go.
(I'm going to get shot for saying that).
And I'm in love.

right now i'm doing RL commissions for primary income~ freelance, traditional painting and digital. doesn't pay too well because i don't have a degree yet, but it covers college spending money at the very least.
getting a full-time or part time job doing something less creative would probably get me like, 10X the amount i make now... but.... i feel like i'd be wasting valuable time that i could use practicing
once in a while i'll give private painting or drawing lessons, so if nothing else works out for me, i guess i'll continue to do that. maybe open a studio or a gallery or something X3
teaching is a popular backup, but really, many art-related jobs all have to do with luck and your social connections (which you have a better chance at getting if you go to an art school or live around one)
everything about the art world is so uncertain... but i think it's best to do whatever you feel like doing now, while you still have the chance (are young and can recover from mistakes easier) and if you have a supportive family, you'll have them to fall back on if necessary. when you're older it's harder to go for your "dreams" so to say... as cheesy as that sounds XD
but if you work really hard and netwrok enough, you're bound to make it into some sort of studio or something... and if not... then at least you'll know you gave it a shot instead of forever never knowing XD
i've taken graphic design, but mostly drawing, film, and sculpture classes till now XD
