Listen...I didn't intend to lie...I hate lying...but Shinji forced me into promising him to make up the story that he died...
He told me there was no more use in his life, so he'd rather be dead...but of course, he was just depressed because of all he lost...
He's my brother...I had to keep my promise to him...

You're gonna hate me for lying to you all this time....but I was only following Shinji's plan...he wanted to isolate himself from friends and family for a bit...but I guess he built up his courage to face the world once more...I really am sorry for lying, I just needed to keep my promise with Shinji....
