About
We took the red from the dawn of a new nation.
The white from the snow at Valley Forge.
The blue, from the free, open sky.
And the stars were the thirteen sisters by the sea, whom built their home and called it liberty.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Let me introduce myself, okay? I'd like to get to know you, but you probably want to know me first. Or maybe you already do.
I'm the United States of America. I know, I know, it's a bit of a strange concept if you're not used to it, but it's true! I am the embodiment of the states, our spirit, our pride, and everything we are, and have been in the past.
You can call me Alfred. In appearance I'm nineteen years old, but don't let that fool you, I've been around for awhile. Alright, so not as long as some other countries, but I've come a long, long way from my roots."

-He blinked over at the other nation, not really questioning the action, but opting instead to simply squeeze his hand in return. The action wasn't particularly comforting or affectionate, but a simple reassurance.-
Carry on, Alfred. You're going to get wrinkles if you worry so.
-He returned the grin with a simple shrug, and briefly checked his mobile phone for messages-
Do take care of yourself.

-Sighing a little, he turned back to face the other, patting his shoulder in what he hoped to be a comforting gesture-
I'm rather tied up in business too, what with Ireland and his bloody bank problems. But well, you know of course that you're always welcome in London.
[It is quite nice indeed. c: And don't worry about replying, I'm quite busy myself. Also, great avatar! It makes me want to go back to the US. OTL ; ]
-About to scold him again for slouching, but instead just sort of blinks in response to the words, blushing considerably and averting his gaze to somewhere out the window-
F-fine. I'm thankful that we're both still here.
Um. Very well then, I'm not even going to ask what that's supposed to mean. I suppose we should find another conversation subject.
-Rolls his eyes at this comment-
Oh please, it's practically a different country south of Washington. What on earth did you do down there?
-Prods him in the side to urge him further, apparently unable to overlook anything that even remotely resembles improper behaviour-
I refuse to acknowledge any part of that statement. I've been to Alabama. :l
Thank you. I see you're finally becoming a gentleman.
