I live with the Volturi in Volterra, Italy. In vampire heirarchy, the Volturi are at the top. Don't worry, when i kill you, you wont feel a thing
I'm going to tell you my story, this is a true story, that may sound unreal, but true.
It all started a thousand or so years ago, in a little town called Sousau, Italy. At this time, twins were a rarity and thought to be a form of witch craft; these children were neglected. When I was born into this world, I was one of these infants. My twin was a girl named Jane. Little did we know that because of our timing in the world, things were about to get ugly...
When the head council of the city found out of our existence, they sent a small pod of hunters to track us down and kill us. Our mother, whom I loved to the very ends of the known Earth, would let no such thing happen, so she took immediate action. Mom gathered our few belongings and sent off with me, my sister, and Father. As we traveled south through Italy, we slowed our pace thinking the trackers lost us. Little did we know, they stayed right on our trail oblivious to our knowledge. One evening at dusk while setting up camp, Father heard a noise in the near by woods. He decided to grab his sword, head off into the woods, and investigate. Mother, still sleeping, had no way of knowing what was happening until a loud and painful distant cry was heard.
Jane and I awoke, screaming from the disturbance to our dreaming. Locking Jane and I in the fortress Mother built, she dashed off into the woods with only an iron stake. As she enclosed on the area in which the sound occurred, liquid kissed her feet. She jumped back, frightened, and tasted it...it was blood. Then, trying to remain clam, she lunged forward silently. A body came into view...a body of a man...Father! Mother pounced over him, locked gazes with his strained and buldged eyes from the pain, and spoke in the ancient tounge. Father shook his head and fell back. Then he perked his ears and whispered in Mother's ears, "Run." She stared down at him frozen with fear, unsure of what to do. He placed in her palm the amulet of marrige that Mother had crafted him for their wedding, lay back,...and died.
In the distance just beyond the rivers of blood sprewn infront of her, Mother heard the clattering of hooves upon the ground. She took one last, painful, gaze at Father and reached for the iron stake. Breathing almost inaudably, she crouched down behind the nearest tree. Soon, she heard the chuckling and hope-filled voices of the cavalry. These noises grew louder and louder until unbareable. Once in the clearing where Father's body was, the shortest man with a sadistic smile spoke, adressing Mother. "Come out from hiding, hun. We mean no harm." The two men, one on each side of him, laughed quietly to themselves. "Come now, Evra, we just want to have a word with you!" Mother clutched the stake, hid it on her back with her palm against it, and glided out of her hiding place.
"There you are, Evra! Funny story as to why we are here...and that," he said gesturing to the dead body on the ground. "You see," he continued, "we had a little misunderstanding, and he lunged at us. Of course you would have taken the same action if one striked at you."
"Of course." Mother spoke with no emotion in her tone.
"Ah, Evra, you never change. I wish we could catch up on old times, but we are here for more...unfortunate reasons." His mouth appeared to tilt upward in a grin. "You gave birth to and nursed twins. There is a law against this, as you do know." Mother nodded. The man smiled. "Your time has come, Evra," he spoke evenly. He pulled out his dagger, and plunged it through Mother's heart. Mother's mouth hung open, then slowly relaxed. She fell beside Father...and died.
The three men, known as town heros and the trackers sent for us, headed toward our camp. As they approached, one of the men yelped. Soon after, the other fell to his knees. The man who had killed Mother and Father was left alone to himself to battle what ever it was that was attacking. He glanced around his sides, legs shaking, and suddenly felt something grab at his throat. "Who...are you," he gasped. The one who had grabbed him looked towards the trees, and out came three men of the same age appearance. The three men glided towards the vicious tacker, who I later learned was named Dankall, and the one who seemed to be incharge spoke in an even and graceful tone.
"You should truely watch what you put to waste around here," the leader, who I learned was named Aro, said. With that, he pounced on Dankall's neck, stuck his teeth in it, and...drank his blood!
Twelve years have passed since the death of our parents. Jan and I were attending a school, Jane was a grade behind of me in order to make people believe we were just brother and sister, not twins. We are now thirteen years of age. It was the Vampires who brought us to a village on the outskirts of a fortress in Italy named Volterra to be cared for by the Catholic nuns of the school. Jane and I were excelling at incredible rates and, for some odd reason, none of the other students liked us...at all.
Perhaps it was because of Jane's ability to defeat even the best of flute players in the country or was it my oddly advanced intelect . We would never know, but the peace we had experienced over that last several years was, for sure, coming to an end.
Our names remained Alec and Jane. This is what caused the upcoming dilemma. The head of our old council in our old town of Sousau had come to visit our town to catch up with an old friend. When he heard of our names and the issues that others had with us, he decided to interfere. Later on, he found the piece of vital knowledge, the knowledge that would end our mortal lives, he was searching for.
Once word spread that Jane and I were twins, there was no stopping it. Stories and rumors and completely false miscalculations haunted the village and soon spread to that of Volterra. It was soon decided that Jane and I were going to have to suffer the ultimate form of torture due to our "witch craft." We were going to be burned at the stake. Jane and I were the most loving pair of siblings in the known world and knew we had to protect each other, so I suggested to Jane that we split up so that the guards could not find us. Unaware of where Jane was going. For my own safety, I hid in the old church near an old abandoned warehouse. As I hid for a day or so after we were meant to be cremated alive, I was finally found.
When the tracker arrived, it was not who I expected it to be...it was one of the Vampires who saved Jane and I from the trackers at Sousau! I did not know of this yet, so I still tried to run but she kept cutting me off. Of course, this was clearly of no use. The only girl of the group grabed me and escorted me out of the old church, hands tied behind my back, with a person with another person who i was soon to find out was named Caius.
When we arrived in the hidden chambers of Volterra, the one who they called Aro was there to greet us. Aro had kind eyes with chalky skin and flowing shoulder lengthened brown hair. Something was strange about him though...his eyes were a burgundy red color! He approached us, told Athenadora and Caius to leave the room after thanking them for their help, and exchanged a glance with his, I later on learn, brothers. They nodded, and then they escorted me out with them. They left me in a corner of a small room and one of then whipped around and spoke to me with his lovely voice. "Alec, is it?" I nodded, unsure of myself. "Do not fret, there will be no further suffering for you after the next few days." Then the girl bent forwards towards my neck...and bit me!
The pain was so excruciating! Why any being should have to suffer through anything like that, I will never know! During this period, I was quite lucky and sunk into unconsciousness most of the time. When I awoke from these, though, I would have given anything to kill it off. Soon, more pain, and then...blackness.
I awoke three whole days later, with Athenadora asking if I was okay. I ask her " Where's Jane" She said "She is in the other room." I ran over to the other room. And i saw her laying down. I was so worried and then she started to move. All of a sudden her eyes opened and i kept asking her "JANE ARE YOU OKAY!" She nodded her head and then A person enter the room. I soon learned his name was Aro. Aro kept reassuring and told me, she will awake soon. When I heard Jane groan and open eyes, I leaned forward and gave her a hug. I soon learned who I was, what I was, why I was there, and, most importantly, what became of my parents.
Several centuries passed. During this time, I found that the venom Athenadora used to change me into a Vampire gave me talented gifts, as it does for others as well. My sister was changed by Aro and was also given a very talented gift. I was given the ability to cut off one's senses and shut them into complete blackness, unaware of all of their surroundings. Jane's gift, and the most important one, is the power to manipulate one's mind into believing they are in excrutiating pain. Jane and I are several among many gifted Vampires, including Aro and his brothers, Caius and Marcus, that complete the Volturi coven. In fights, Jane and I are used as offense and use our gifts to win battles and keep the Volturi heir running.

i may say im okay
but that means im at dismay
i lie to keep you from pain
even though pain is coming at me like a train
i try to protect you with my lies
so i dont have to listen to your cries
The why i have to go away
because i only bring you dismay
i had behind a screen of lies
no one hears my silent cries
i lie awake every night
only think of things out of spite
i wake up every day in lies
gettign through the day through the lies
there isnt one ounce of truth in the past
but we have to change the lies of the past
we can make a truthfully life
as long as we dont survive on strife
