She usually has a mild tempered personality when not in combat, but can be very aggressive during combat. When Athrun is around “Lacus” (Mia) she expresses feelings of jealousy and when jealous, she can be very stubborn. In times of trouble and need, she is very dependable and is almost always willing to help and contribute to the team. Even though she may sometimes be jealous, she is usually kind and supports Athrun.

Lunamaria Hawke and Shinn
Asuka at the beginning are
only known as good friends.
But later on in the episodes
Lunamaria starts to have some
feelings for Shinn. In one
episode, you'll see Lunamaria
and Shinn kissing. Who knows
what the future holds, since
Stellar is long gone and
Lunamaria isn't.

She is fairly skilled in combat and her
favorite attack is using the big gun on
her shoulder making her a fairly
aggressive fighter. Though she seem
prideful and has confidence in her skills,
she is the worst in potential in skill, but is
eager to improve. She is a fierce warrior
and attempts to lead those with her in
combat to follow her lead and follow
what she feels is right. Despite her
possible failure of her actions, she
persists and does what she feels is right.
As a result, she can be a fierce warrior,
though not as good as Shinn Asuka. She
has poor aiming with a firearm, as she
had a tendency to twist her wrist every
time she fired every time making the
bullet miss the center of the target.
Though, she may have improved
under the guidance of Athrun Zala.

Lunamaria is one of the topguns in
ZAFT who had graduated from the
military academy with Shinn and Rey.
She has short hair and usually makes
friends with others very well. In her
experiences in the military academy,
she took notice how Shinn was mean
and arrogant towards his superiors.
She was also one of the first crew of
the Minerva to see Athrun, who at
that time had an undercover name
of Alex Dino. However, once she learned
that “Alex” was actually Athrun Zala
himself, she had a great liking towards
him and tried to become as close to him
as she could at first by commenting on
his personality and such. When there is
trouble, she tries her best to help and
she always fights on until she is unable
to. She has a very close connection
with Meyrin, whom is of course her
sister, and losing her would cause her
great sadness that affects their state of
mind. When losing those she cares about,
she tries her best to hold on to them
tightly and cares about them the most.
She has a younger sister named Meyrin
Hawke who operates as the bridge crew
on the Minerva. Her primary mobile
suit is a Gunner ZAKU Warrior. Unlike
many other female ZAFT soldiers, she
has a short mini-skirt.

Meyrin Hawke is the beloved sister of Lunamaria Hawke. Meyrin is also a crew member aboard the Minerva. Like Lunamaria, Meyrin, didn't play too big a role in the beginning of Destiny. Though during around the episodes in the early thirties is when Meyrin showed.

Meyrin's job on the Minerva is the CIC, she is mainly shown telling Rey, Shinn, and Luna that their ready for launch-- similar to what Miriallia Haww does for the Archangel during SEED & I believe closer to the end of DESTINY. Other times she is with other memebers of the crew-- this mainly discludes Shinn and Rey, she's more seen with the others, or with her sister.

Meyrin is pretty smart as far as her jobs go: she can shut things off, alarm things, and accumulate information pretty fast, as what she did with confirming that Alex was really former ZAFT ace pilot, Ahrun Zala.

As far as her disposition goes, Meryin is your typical teenage girl. However she reminded me as a mix of Fllay & Lacus. No, Meyrin wasn't insane; but during the ZAFT concert is where she is seen clinging onto Athrun, as Fllay did to Kira, only she wasn't plotting his downfall. She actually had a romantic liking to him, but her mannerisms are simply a lot similar to Fllay's. Where Lacus fits in is kind of her personality, which is why I think Lacus & Meryin got along so well. Not in Lacus' oh so famous peace point of view, but in the Lacus tat is generally seen around Cagalli or Kira, or Athrun. Those she is close to. The casual Lacus, if you will. Meyrin is not signifigantly like Lacus, because she is Meryin, her own person. And one adorable person at that!

Meyrin's most surprising, an most important role of Destiny was her batrayal to the Minerva. While Athrun is being chased by the chairman's men, he stumbles into Meyrin's room. I actually didin't think Meyrin would play that big a part in Destiny; just that she would be.. there. However, in her leave of the minvera she proved me otherwise. It really shocked me, because Meyrin didn't really know Athrun and betrayed her sister, her friends, her shipmates to help Athrun.This leads me to seriously think that Meyrin had a little more than a crush on Athrun, and Athrun's feelings are really.. unknown.
