Back In The Saddle Again
A quote I live by:
'To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else--means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.' -EE Cummings
I'm back online after years of inactivity, and to see the way this place has grown and changed is a strange combination of curiosity, gratification, and unease at how alien it all is to me now. I used to laugh at the "old people" who didn't know their way around the latest version of Windows, only to find that I am now the old person and I sympathize more than ever with the thought of all the effort needed to figure out what's new and what has changed since my day. Reading my old profile bio was particularly revealing and painful, but I had to save it before re-writing it. On the plus side (and the reason I came back), I can still do the things I enjoyed the most here, which is creative writing, socializing, and last but certainly not least: modifying my avatar.
I still don't quite remember how to code new images back into the text, so I'm going to leave my old images here so I can hopefully come back and really start to learn about it again. I find myself quite surprised at how much time, energy and effort I put into this site, and not just on this profile. I have a feeling if this place still has that special something that originally kept me here I can get just as much enjoyment out of it. I can't say say something like that about MySpace lol

How long have you been a data analyst? Good career?
This is the background.
I love your profile. So old school cool. emotion_kirakira
And nice makeup in the 3rd pic!
Can you explain more about multiple settings and catering to the season?
It could be some kind of dystopian version of an already est. world, which could allow for more freedom around themes and events that might come up.
What do you think?
Missing that writer's kinship/inspiration, and avi building is just fun and relaxing uwu
As far as a guild, tho~
What would you want, specifically, out of a little writer's community like that?
(I need a little inspiration to get my "managerial" wheels spinning.)
How are you?
I saw you mention in that thread you recently came back to Gaia.
What brought you back?
