With the third installment of Assassin's Creed coming out at the end of October, I don't know what to look forward to more. On the one had, all hallows eve is the time where you can dress up and get free candy from strangers without getting questioned, just simply say "Trick or Treat!". There's the act of pumpkin carving and decoration, something I myself like to practice, carving geeky objects such as a dalek on its surface.
However, on the other hand there is Ubisoft's newest game coming out the day before, and for some the day of Halloween. With its new game mechanic, built from the ground up over the course of 3 years, and a new protagonist, what's there not to love. The fact that it takes place during the American Revolution is an added bonus I suppose for I do love to know the history of a country from a different point of view, no matter how unrealistic or fictitious. Knowing the fact that Ubisoft Montreal retells history all the while incorporating their own characters, the Assassin and the Templar Orders makes my curious and overly stressed mind giddy.
Through the majority of the Assassin's Creed series I have devotedly followed, the stories and simply the amount of work put into the research of the irl characters can be astounding, all the while trying to evolve and make the game better as the series progressed. The improvements in the fighting system, as well as the economy, overall graphics and the hard puzzles added can easily satiate a curious mind, one who loves adventure and sand-box games. Not to mention the fact that ever since Brotherhood, there has been a multiplayer feature added to it, the series just gets better over time.
...okay that's the end of my rant-ish tirade over my obsessiveness towards the AC series. This fandom is going to ruin me one day and I shall not be ready for it.
Well then, full steam ahead.
