Christmas events.

Well Christmas day was a very good day and day before wasn't bad either. Wake up and go look at what "santa" (i have a 10 year old sister parents still crazy) brought us and i got a freaking brand new squire five string bass. Ive been wanting one. Not the one i wanted but meh can't complain i got one. Even got a wii which is acctually alot harder than i though XD. A much needed printer was also a spoil of the day plus a huge stomach ache from such great food. XD

all in all it was pretty cool.

Well yesterday was the vandypalooza thing. Even without a guitar me and Robby still played and had fun. it was awsome. We Played Aerials and Otherworld. I should have the video up soon. I didnt sing well but at least i had the guts to get up and play with just us 2.

Well today in all was good. Today we found out we have a jazz band gig...tomorrow and we barely know any music xd so we practiced like hell today we also had windsymphony tryouts to. I think i did really good and i hope i did to.

Showcase

(for thos who don't know, I play trombone in the vandebilt Catholic highschool Regiment)

Well my final showcase is over. Marching band is over. And im going to miss it. We placed 5th over all, but i dont care what we placed i had fun. We all know we had a great run through but lets just start at the beggining of the day. We arrived at IHOP at 8 for teh senior breakfast which was fun me andrew stephen and barry (occasional eddie) talked about alot of stuff which was fun. Left there and got to school. not much hapened then. Before we left we had a talk with the directors and staff. i almost lost it. it wasreally cool when they all talked. Vandebilt has never had such a great staff ever. So we get on the bus and get situated and im ready for some mario kart, plug in ipod and first song that comes on is Caught in a Web-Dream Theater (put on random shuffle now) and ironically the second song was Lie-Dream theater. Same album and same band. Im like "WTF?" So I piss justin off for closing the server before he gets in, I start of crap but then move up. And me and kelly just start poking each other and stuff XD. Get there warm up and all that have a kick a** run to us and then back to teh busses. Go on the field for awards and what do you know our percussion is 1st in the freaking state. Good job guys you kick a**.So we're standing there for about 30 minutes by 15 my feet were numb but they get to the top ten.

5th-Vandebilt
4th through first- blah blah blah
see i dont care that we got 5th we kicked a** and our percussion did great. Just imagine how good the ba nd will be next year.
Anyway i just wana say im really gonna miss this kinda stuff. Showcase is always the most fun thing you'll ever do in marching band. Seeing the stadium for the first time and marching in it is so much fun. And that feeling you get walking back up the tunnel is just awasome. So in closing ill say we did great no matter what ******** judge says otherwise (we acctually had a judge say we did the best((he just walked up outa no where)). i always say Judges can shove it up there a** cause as long as you had fun getting to where you are you are champions in your own right.

Im really looking forward to this weekend. Saturday is Showcase of Marching bands. Or basically state for band. Its the best competition we have. For the past four years we have taken only 2nd and 3rd.....but not this year. This year Lafeyette and St. Amant are going down. Our show totally kicks a** this year. unlike the gay Holidays stuff last year. The Matrix show before was the best though. But this year is even better. The title, Dance Music, Doesnt say much but the actuall music is asswsome. Ill post a video if i can when im done with it. We will kick a**. Whether we win or not. I personally think we will toally own though.

Homecoming was last night and i had a total blast. OMG it was so much fun. So i show up at Melissa's and her parents and her are outside waiting. Wel get her and go to bobb'ys house. Get him and cassia then vivsit hayden and THEN finally arrive at the dance. xd Wanted to go talk to Mr. Adams and unfotunately we get drug tested along with bobby and cassi. SO after that we get in take our pictures and then dance the first slow song, was so great. Then the fun really starts. Melissa drags me out to the floor with her friend and (i dont care to dance to rap but) It was loads of fun. And quite sexy if you ask me xd hahahaha. Anyway i also got to dance with my bestfriend kelly. It made me very happy ^_^....well start fast dancing again and the last slow song me and melissa danced, we were so close leaning on eachother. My heart jumped (for those that dont know im thinking of asking her out). Well leave the dance at 11 get to starbucks and get some cofee then bring bobby and cassi home. The fu n about the next part is going about 70 down some random street to get mel home before 11:45. manage that and the night ends with a kiss. ^_^ my heart jumped again. But really i had a huge blast it was awsome. If/when i ask her out i hope she says yes.

Well I decided to start a band for this vandypalooza thing my highschool i hosting. its sortof like a talentshow but all day during school. And I asked Erin and Brad but they both said no (to much stuff to do) anyway i eventually got kelly to sing for us and bobby on keyboards. Well we needed a drummer and guitarist and i think we got Chris briggs for our drummer. So that now leaves Kevin and then we are done. So one more person is all we need. i shall keep everyone posted. not that you care.

Mechacon kicked so much a**. When we first got there it was about 10 minutes before the dealers room closed so i bought 2 things. One was a naruto leaf village headband and the other was a necklace set with Tidus' symbol and it cam with a ring. The next day i also bought a chain with a symbol from tsubasa. The fun tim ewas trying to get trevor to shut the hell up that night. I mean even his mom bashed his head with a pillow a few times (pricless) anyway It was a grand time. The funniest part was when weread the rules for the cosplaying contest. The very first rule was "No skimpy/revealing crossdressing allowed." we all cracked up. We plan to go to Numa Rei-no con and cosplay as FF VII charecters. Me being cloud of course. ^_^

YEY!!! Tomorrow I get to go to Mechacon with Trevor bobby and hayden. Barry and his siter will be joining us on saturday. So it should be awsome. I am so looking forward to this. Its gonna be awsome. We were supposed to cosplay but, Trevor beong the retard that he is didnt finish the freaking costumes. Oh well Blue jeans and the Gigantour shirt should be ok. Oh and since nothing here has been posted about Gigantour, Last summer me and Dante, Alex, Barry, Brad, and Erin went to the Gigantour concert in orlando. Gigantour was a tour of about 9 bands started by Dream Theater and Megadeth. Well alot of em sucked. *cough* Bobaflex *cough* and i mean bad. But my 2 favorite bands were there. Symphony X (3rd set in the show) And my absolute favorite, Dream Theater (headlining) It was an awsome night.....and morning ended around 2 AM. ahhh well it was good times.
