Today, I felt peace. True peace. Soft music lilted behind my ears as the sounds, smells, and the energy of my mother filled me. A soft presence at my side soothed me, granted me the safety to absorb the peace around me. Far too little time passed as the peace faded, leaving me whining and whimpering, praying for it to return. Alas, it was for naught. I am left bereft.
