Men broke out weapons and hateful words
Piercing each other’s hearts with copper swords
The light was fleeting and darkness came
Its claws stretched and eyes aflame
A cloaked woman sat atop of a cloud
A long silver blade in her hand and a smile on her mouth
She patted her companion’s neck, a horse
With a blood red coat, its eyes watching the gore
On the barren field,
Men lay, bloodied on the battle field
The woman sighed and raised her sword up high
And sliced against the air,
Against the hate, greed and bloodlust that blared
She sighed once more and the horse snorted in disdain
Both were disappointed that another battle was over again
The woman, War, whispered in her companion’s ear
“We must go. Greater battles are to be fought, dear.”
War raised her sword once more
The blade glinting in the moonlight
The red rider climbed on her horse and rode into the night
Her cloak blew against the wind.
(So this is a poem that I wrote for my LA class. I don't know if any of you know about the Four Horsemen. You know, the Harbingers of the Apocalypse? No? Okay. Anyway, I hope you like it. This is really irrelevant but eh, whatever. XD)
