With a crash, the one hundred ton suit of armor smashed into the earth. It's lone pilot groaned with pain. He managed to lift his head and see the enemy machine lumbering slowly towards his fallen armor. The pilot painfully turned his head to the flashing control panel, but he didn't care to know the mechanical details of his own demise. He instead looked to a small picture that was taped to the armored cockpit. The photo was of a cute girl smiling. The doomed mecha's pilot smiled, despite his impending destruction. The pilot lifted a blood soaked hand and pulled the picture off the wall. The woman had dark red hair, and a smile full of love. The enemy war machine was upon the pilot. A single tear ran down his cheek while whispering, "I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough..." A spear of metal pierced the armor plating that protected the man and ended his life with the screeching of metal on metal. The spear retracted, and the mechanical behemoth thundered away.
