WTF
All I can say to the movie I just watched is honestly WTF. I have seen a fair deal of Horror and thriller kind of movies in my life time, they are my favorite genre, but this movie for some unknown reason was nothing more than laughable at best. The movie I am talking about is Chernobyl Diaries. This movie had the potential to be horrofying, bone chilling, and spine tingling. I had rented the movie thinking it would be at least one of those and insteas I got a very poor rip off of every other zombie movie in the book. This movie could have been epic and had it not taken over an hour for these people to figure out what was wrong, or that they were all going to die, there could have been more scares in it. Not to mention the fact that the ending was nothing more than dissapointing. I saw the ending of this movie and had thought "Well.... I have a much better Idea than that" because it become so cliche to have you last surviving character killed off after thinking they have found safety.
To be honest the worst part of this movie, beside the fact that it had almost no plot, was that after you wait through all that time of cheap scares and poor makeup effects. After all that time of listening to those people blather on about how they needed to escape and watching each one of them die off one by one you still dont get any answers as to what the hell was going on. There is a huge, amazing, plot set up at the very beginning that just kind of vanishes at the end. The movie has a few scares but once you get past those it really has no substance and honestly just left me wanting to watch another movie to fill the void.
