Today i'll be taking a break from telling of how I became the P.I.
I am today. Instead i'll tell you about my life before when I was an orphan.
about 13 years ago, when I was 7, I lived in an small orphanage structurally much superior to Shabby Meadows. However the children there were frequently beaten and given strange pills by pharmaceutical companies who kept the orphanage afloat. Many children died from the expiriments but noone ever came to check out what was happening. I was 7 when i befriended a 5 year old girl named Jocelyn Lorraine. She became like a sister to me and looked up to me. I taught her math and reading and we would often cuddle together at night because she had night terrors. I felt helpless when she thrashed in her sleep fighting off an invisible attacker. Then christmas came around and i had stolen money from the researchers to buy her a stuffed rabbit. It's fur was black and its eyes were red. She loved him so much and called him Mr. Bumpy. Then one by one the other children began to dissappear and we decided to escape. We headed into the basement and found a way into the sewers where we fled. eventually we got back up above ground and trundled through the snow. until her collapse i carried her to outside the E.R. and snuck out afterwards. I don't know what happened to her after that day but the guilt hangs in my heart heavy. So when the time came to help the orphans this christmas i vowed to do all i could.
