i know loads of you knew i was going because i wouldn't stop going on about it, well hers my account of the week in Marekesh and the High atlas mountains.
Day one: Sunday
We meet at the school at am and travelled to Gatwick airport to catch our flight at 12:40. we did a bit of shopping in duty free - i brought a cool hat!! - and the plane was late by an hour so we sat bored in departures for what felt like forever. When we arrived in Marekesh it was the Prophets birthday and had to get through the hussle and bussle of people leaving the main square. we stayed in the Hotel du Foucauld, which was really nice but a bit like a british 2 star!!! We had dinner then some free time and then went to bed at half ten.

Day two: Monday
We woke up at 7 and had breakfast at half 8. We then had a tour of the city on a horse drawn carriage which was really nice, then we wandered through the sukes - an experience i'll never forget. We then went to a cafe and played some cards. Dinner then bed.

Day three: Tuesday
Woke up and breakfast was the same time. We then got on the coach and went to a hypamarket. We brought gifts for a school we were supposed to visit and biscuits and sweets. Everything was so cheap. We then headed towards the mountains and had a ride on some camels - it was brilliant. Then went to the Kasbah du Toubkal to stay for 4 nights. We then went on a 2 hr walk to a village.

Day Four: Wednesday
Today we went on a half day hike and had a picnic out.

Day Five: Thursday
Today we were supposed to walk into the next valley and stay in a village with no electricity however about 10 people in our group were ill, so we did a full day hike to the top on a ridge looked to where we should have stayed, had lunch then went back.

Day Six: Friday
We went on another day hike to a shrine however we couldn't go near because we aren't muslims. We then packed and had dinner.

Day Seven: Saturday
We loaded our stuff onto the coach and went back to Marekesh and passed Richard Bransons house!!!! Then went shopping in the sukes.

Day Eight: Sunday
We woke at 4am had breakfast at 5am and left for the airport. Got on the plane at 8am and arrived home at 12:10pm!!!
