Rains Kiss

If I ever fell in love
I know what I would say
I know it would last
It would fall apart like clay

However I would always remember
All the memories we shared
As we walked in the rain
Kissing each other like we cared

But things can never last
Its better to have loved and lost
Then to have never loved at all
I knew this emotion would come with a cost

Remembering the words we spoke
Saying I love you
Saying it carelessly
That’s how our hearts broke in two

But we must all move on
I see that you already did
Pretending I don’t still love you
My lies pouring out of an open lid

So please don’t mind if I look at you
Remembering the memories we shared
Standing in the falling rain
Kissing like we cared

But there is someone else I know
Who looks at me with loving eyes
Blushing when I say hi
He smiles with lovers cries.

So I think I’ll move on
As I take his hand in mine
As the rain falls to the earth
Looking back in our eyes that shine

New memories with a new start

The rain pours down like gentle kisses
