Dear Diary, What should I say today?
Deary Diary, I'm unsure...
Lillian staggered into her room, her hands reaching back to rub at her sore back that ached with every step.

"Almost...there..." She wheezed seeing her bed just a few feet away. "You can do it, Lil old gal! Few more steps!"

With a few more steps, Lillian stumbled into her bed. A happy sigh parted her lips as she simply laid in the warm embarrass of her matress and sheets. She had just had a long day of chasing Marmaduke around town after Tyson let go of his leash by mistake. Finally, her little brother and that darn dog were asleep.

"I finally have some me time." The sixteen year old purred as she nuzzled her head into her soft and inviting pillows. The girl paused for a moment, something just didn't feel right about Mr.Pillow, something was off about how comfortable it was. The pillow felt hard and lumpy, now soothing and soft.

"Eh?" Lil lifted her pillow up and stared at what fell out,"My...diary? Oh yes! I remember now!"

Lil opened up the diary, a pen falling out which she quickly picked right back up. Her eyes stared down at the blank page...what was there to write? Nothing really...

She had made a pact with herself though, that she would work on keeping her diary "alive" and get it filled with things.

"Okay! You can do this! Just think of things that have occured to you over time...how you suddenly got the nasty habit of talking to yourself..." She grumbled that last part, not liking that side effect of being the only "adult" in her home. The only things there was to converse with was her eight year old brother, their dog Marmaduke, and Tyson's hamster Tony...

Lillian played with the pen as she thought of what to write. Well...nothing had really occured. Their deliveries were going fine. They got their papers to the owners in good time, same with the shopkeepers things.

"I live such a boring life..." Lillian groaned as her head fell. What an understatement but at that moment it felt so dull.

Tyson was doing good in school, and he was much more talkative now. Marmaduke only chewed up a few things today and it wasn't like she needed those socks.

"There must be something to write about..." Lillian told herself as her mind began to reel."Well...I could always write about how things are going now. It's been a few months since I've been taking care of things. Alright! That's what I'll do!"

Lillian streched out one final time before turning back to her diary and began scribbling her thoughts down on the honey colored paper.

Quote:
Dear Diary,

Hey! I've started to write in you again! You must be happy...well...I guess I should describe what is going on in my life now. Okay, here goes!

Well, my parents have rarely been around that much in my life. I've always been taken care of by a little old nanny who I liked calling Mrs.Butters. She was a sweet old woman who did a good job at raising my brother and I.

I think she was the most of a parent to us than our real ones ever were. Tyson and I saw those two when they'd come back from some big photography journey.

They always have stories to tell us about the things they see and the people they meet. I just wish they'd bring us along with them to see the things they see. I've been fine on parents day when Mrs.Butters would come in instead of my real parents. Just, I sometimes wish I could show my friends who my real parents were.

Everyone thinks we're lucky though, since our home is filled with relics, artifacts, and other things from all around the world. Also how our parents are well known photographers and their paycheck has a lot of digits in it.

Who cares about that stuff though? I'm fine if we were poor and had no place to go. If I had my family with me I'd be happy. That's what I used to say, but now, I don't even consider those two part of my family. They know nothing about us, their children.

If they cared they'd come back! They'd come back and shower us with hugs, kisses, and words of 'I love you'.

I wish they would come back! Not for a few days but for a month...and when they do I wish they'd spend sometime with us and not go off to spend it with their friends.

Lillian stared down at her angry words."I sound like such a child..." She whispered.

The young girl couldn't help it though, thinking of her parents just made her upset and resort to childish writing.

"Well, I need to grow up! I'm supposed to be taking care of this household!"

"Lillian...I had a bad dream..." Tyson cooed as he looked into Lillian's room from the door. Whiping away the tears from his eyes.

"Alright, I'll come lay down with you." Lillian sat up from her bed and walked over to her little brother. She reached over and flipped the light switch to off before taking Tyson's hand and walking off with him towards his room.
