REMEMBER ME
In remembrance of gramps crying
I have come to the end of my journey I have traveled my last weary mile Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned And remember only the smile
Forget unkind words I have spoken Remember some good I have done Forget I ever had a heart ache And remember I've had loads of fun
Forget that I?ve stumbled and blundered And sometimes fell by the way Remember I have fought some hard battles And one, ere the close of the day
Do not grieve for my going I would not have you sad for a day But in summer just enjoy the sun shine In my beautiful san Francisco bay
And come in the shade of the evening When the sun paints the sky in the west Stand for a few moments in meditation And remember only my best
This poem is for my family Kenneth K. Dill Beloved father Retired Millitary officer May 30, 1929- august 3, 2004 You were the greatest gramps, rest in peace. Now this is a good by By my triplet brother The Gir, complement him
