Ramblings of a comparatively sane guy
Just whatever pops into my head each day. It'll include stuff about me, life, and everything else.
More stuff...
Note: wrote this a while ago, just never got it posted here yet. So yeah, it's a little late... oh well. Enjoy!

Thoughts
Part 2

Josh Riak looked around the recesses of Wadsworth_the_hare's brain, wincing at the blaring music pouring in from enormous loudspeakers positioned around the area. "Could you turn that down a little?" he asked Wadsworth who was singing the songs loudly and playing air guitar.

Wadsworth looked over at him. "What?" he yelled over the music.

Josh winced again. "Turn it down!" he yelled back, covering his ears.

"Fine..." Wadsworth said sadly, turning down a large black knob in front of him. The music turned down some, except for in an area a ways away from them where a bunch of characters were dancing to random music still blaring. Josh and Wadsworth looked over at the area, then shrugged and went back to talking. "That was a good song too..." Wadsworth whined.

"Why the sudden music?" Josh asked.

"Oh!" Wadsworth said, brightening up quickly. "It's this CD I got from a friend of mine on my birthday! See!" He held up an empty CD case with no writing on it.

"Um, right..." Josh replied, raising his eyebrow.

"It's really cool," Wadsworth continued, pocketing the case. "It's called "One part Odd, One Part Awesome." It's cool."

"Words to sum up life..." Josh said. "What's it got on it?"

"The first half is like a bunch of Weird Al songs and other weird stuff like that and the other half is more, er... sane music," Wadsworth said. "A whole bunch of cool songs. You like it?"

"Well, I would, if it weren't blaring so loud and pounding into my head all day..." Josh grumbled, glancing at the huge speakers.

"Oh, I could put on a different CD if you want," Wadsworth replied cheerfully. "I got this cool Rush CD too; I could put that on."

"No, don't get me wrong, it's a cool CD," Josh said, "Just keep the volume below 30, yeah?"

"Ok!" Wadsworth said, smiling. He turned towards the live studio audience. "So, yeah, a big thank you out there to Dana for the CD and to everyone else who gave me a birthday present or wished me Happy Birthday! Thanks, you make me feel loved!"

The audience clapped politely as Wadsworth bowed. Josh laughed a little, shaking his head. "So," he began as Wadsworth turned back towards the rest of his mind, "Are you still Wadsworth_the_emo?"

"Well, yeah, but not so much," Wadsworth replied. "I'm still gonna be Emo, it's kind of a running gag. But right now, I'm still getting my brain out of Marching Band mode."

"Marching Band?" Josh asked. "I didn't know you were in Marching Band."

"Yeah, I am... Wait, you live in my brain and you don't know that I'm in Band?" Wadsworth asked, confused.

"Well, actually, I do know that, but it gives an excuse for conversation," Josh admitted. "I really don't have a lot to do around here all day when you're absent except talk to the other rp characters or twiddle my thumbs."

"Oh, I didn't know the life of an rp character was so dull..." Wadsworth said, sighing. "Well, I'll write more journals now to give you guys more to do, ok?"

"What are the odds you'll actually keep up with that?" Josh asked, laughing a little. "You usually write one and then don't do anything for like a month..."

"Well, no promises as always..." Wadsworth said. "Anyway, where were we?"

"Marching Band."

"Oh yes!" Wadsworth said, a smile coming to his face. "Marching Band season just ended before Thanksgiving week. Championships was fun! We did a really good show!"

"Yeah, how'd you guys do?" Josh asked, his face showing how bored he was.

"Well, we only took ninth..." Wadsworth admitted. "The judges were really harsh on us, I don't know why. So we didn't make it to Finals, but it was still a great show!"

"That's cool..." Josh said. "So now you're Wadsworth_the_bando?"

"Yep!" Wadsworth_the_bando replied. He quickly pulled out a shako and plopped it on his head, it tilting down at an odd angle. "See! Like my hat?"

"Um, sure... exactly what is it?" Josh asked, raising an eyebrow at the round black hat with a plume of feathers sticking straight up from it.

"It's a shako!" Wadsworth_the_bando said, grinning happily. "A Marching Band hat. We wear these for the shows with our uniform. You like it?"

"It's cool, I guess..." Josh said, trailing off. Then he looked up at Wadsworth_the_bando. "Wait, if it's part of your uniform, why do you have it now?"

"Shh!" Wadsworth_the_bando whispered hurriedly, looking around for anyone listening. "They don't know I have it! Hee hee!"

"Um, right... And you say that plenty loud for the live studio audience to overhear?" Josh asked.

"Oops..." Wadsworth_the_bando said, looking out at the audience. "heh! Well, to any bandos in the audience, of course I don't really have the shako. That'd just be wrong to take it."

"Anyway..." Josh continued.

"Anyway, it was a frikkin' awesome season." Wadsworth_the_bando went on. "The drum major this year was Carissa, only a Junior like me. It's kinda odd to have a Junior as drum major and I think it must've been pretty hard for her at the start to live up to it all, but she did a really good job of it. Kudos to you, Carissa!"

The audience once again clapped politely. Josh frowned at the audience. "Why do you even have a live studio audience in your brain anyway?" he asked. "Kind of odd, I'd think..."

Wadsworth_the_bando frowned thoughtfully. "I really don't know, to be honest..." he replied. "I never really thought about it..." He shrugged. "Well anyway, it was a fun season. Low brass was cool this year! There was only four of us like last year, but it was still cool."

"Who was there?" Josh asked, trying to keep the conversation going.

"Well, T.J. the baritone player was the section leader again," Wadsworth_the_bando said, frowning a little. "I don't really like him that much, but I don't know him very well either. He's really not so bad, as long as he doesn't try to act all hard-core. When he tries that, he gets really annoying... Oh well, anyway... Mario was on Suzaphone again, and I was on Trombone along with our only rookie, a really cool trombone player named Natalie. So yeah, it was good..." he trailed off, then brightened up suddenly. "Oh yeah! Dave's came back this year!"

"Really?" Josh asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah! And he's coming back for next year too!" Wadsworth_the_bando continued. "And Fortino said that he's gonna try to get Dennis to come back for next year too!"

"Really?" Josh asked again, pausing and looking blankly at Wadsworth_the_bando. "Um, I have no idea who any of those people are..." he admitted.

"Oh yeah, you wouldn't, would you?..." Wadsworth_the_bando said, frowning. "Well 14-O is the director and Dave is a really cool field instructor from the old days. He and the others, Dennis and Dan, weren't here last year. We had Sean and Damón instead. They were ok, but not near as cool. But this year those two were gone and Dave came back, with appearances of Ally and Michael. He said he's gonna be back next year and there's rumors that Dennis might return as well."

"That's cool, I guess..." Josh replied. "I'm sure it'll all make a lot more sense to Bandos in the audience than it does to me..."

"Yep!" Wadsworth_the_bando agreed, nodding. "I can't wait till next year!"

"What's your show going to be?" Josh asked.

"Veggie-tales." Wadsworth said straight-faced.

"...uh, Veggie-tales?" Josh asked, raising his eyebrow.

Wadsworth_the_bando laughed. "No, not really," he said. "14-O never tells us until summer at the Band Banquet. I haven't heard much of the rumors yet, but they should start floating around any time now through the Band crowd. I wonder what we're gonna do..."

Josh shrugged. "Well, you'll just have to wait and see."

"Yeah, I guess so," Wadsworth_the_bando said, sighing. It should be good."

"Yeah?" Josh said, trailing off.

"Well, I think it's time we should wrap this one up," Wadsworth_the_bando said. "So now, I need some kind of big exit..."

Josh raised his eyebrow as Wadsworth_the_bando suddenly started high-stepping like a college Drum major. From the enormous speakers came new music, this time "Stars and Stripes Forever". Wadsworth_the_bando marched across the stage twice and then marched away into the distance as the camera faded out. A disembodied voice called out to the fading light, "Join us next time for more of The Adventures of Wadsworth_the_hare in His Thoughts!"
