The three of them sat in a rented home in Sandtown. Since everyone had suddenly reappeared into Sandtown, they had to find one that was empty in order to discuss what had happened. Thorn was tied up and hung on a dtone hook on one of the walls. Her mouth was gagged in order not to have her speak too loudy about their recent "accident."
Since Denieru had changed the past and altered the future, laws of the world had suddenly changed, and no one was allowed to travel through time and space. It was now considered illegal to use any voidal scars. Makeii, Coji, and Denieru were all fortunate not to be the ones responsible for the lawmaking.
"We're going to have to do something illegal to stop this law," Coji said. "We're just going to have to go back again, even if they do detect us... or something of that sort."
"You never know what they're going to do now that the law's been in effect for so long." replied Makeii. "They could have guards for this sort of thing."
"What am I supposed to do with my sugar-water??" Denieru frowned. He held the glass to them both. "Alchemy is strictly used in my case for such a thing. Outrageous!"
"Something has changed about you." Makeii looked at him strangely. "Your personality... it's... I dunno how to say it. Changed, is all."
"It's probably a side-effect of tme travel." Coji smiled. "He's simply older than before from traveling forward in time so fast. How old are you, Denieru?"
"Well... Aren't I the same age as I was when I left?" He looked pretty confused. "25, right?"
"I don't think you've ever told us your age before." Makeii chuckled and rocked his head back a bit as he did. Slightly. "We should keep better track of your age more often. So we've reached a dead end on that subject. Coji, how do you know this? Is it included in your Spirit Magic books?"
"Yes, actually." Coji smiled. "It told me, and I can as well, go through time because I am a spirit. I cannot, however, alter time at all. Only foresee and reminisce. I haven't mastered those skills yet, though. Upon higher skill of Spiritual Magic, I'll be able to actually alter without eveb going back."
"Who is your writer, anyway?" Makeii asked.
"Oh. This man taught me ever since I was little. When you had trained spellswording with Kirron, I was learning the basic Spiritual Magic skills. I told you that, duh."
"Yakuza Maji?" Denieru asked him.
"Yes. He specializes in both Dark and Spirit Magic. I haven't talked to him in a long time. I probably didn't tell you, Denieru. He mentored me up until around fourteen."
"Ah." he looked down and thought a second. "He does sound rather faniliar... and rather powerful."
"I think I've seen him once." Makeii said. "I know we wouldn't be able to top him off at this age." He shook his head. He funbled with something under his robes and straightened it up.
