She was darkness, loathed the light
An emptiness, in her festered
Far greater than, a parasite
Till she's gone, wholly devoured

Making a change, from left to right
Needing bandage, unknowingly
She was darkness, he was her light
Her head's a mess, in disarray
Clinging to him, in neon white
Lessened the dim, as was his way

And enveloped, his being whole
