Boys, Band, and Books, the Life and Times of a Teenage Band Nerd
What happens during the day (because I will never post on the internet what happens at night)
I feel so cool
I've told this to a lot of people already but...

I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE AND MY CAR!!!!

Although, it's not REALLY my car until my mom buys a new one for herself (my stepdad is trying to convince her to get a convertable) I still get to drive myself around in it.

AND IT'S SO COOOOOOL

While heading to band camp in my new car, I saw some band people walking toward the school. No one was behind me, so I rolled the windows down and yelled as loud as I could, "HEEEEEEEEY *friend's name*!!!"

She whipped around and the look on her face was priceless.

BWAHAHA

I then preceded to run around the hallway outside of the band halls trying to gather up all my friends and show them my car. I then ran outside saying "I have my car! I have my car!"

A little childish, but...

You can't say that you didn't do that, or WANT to do that when you got your first car, can you?

I am tired now, but I'm happy, especially because my aunt is coming over.

I'm in college, and I still don't have a car. Congratulations. Don't drink and drive. Don't get in an accident.
Don't ride with friends who are going to distract you.
Check your tires, oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid before you leave on any sort of long drive.
Don't leave your car unlocked.
Don't leave pets or children unattended in your car.
Don't ride without insurance.
Use gas efficiently, don't slam on the brakes or the gas unless absolutely necessary. Find out if you have an anti-lock braking system or the old fashioned, because it's important to know if you go out of control, or in icy weather.
Don't talk on a cell phone while driving.
Don't eat while driving.
Don't flip others off.
Don't cut people off (they hate that).
Remember to signal. Signaling is not for pussies.
If you're going to make a move, make a big one.
Leave at least one car length of following distance per every 10 mph you are traveling.
Don't ******** around with the radio station while you are driving.
Don't do make-up while driving.
And otherwise, just be safe and happy.
It would also be a good idea to buy a AAA card.

Love,
# Santini
