So, I was on Skype yesterday, only to learn that Rosario was having a bad day. Though, he only wanted to talk about it on Discord, so I had to hop on there. Though he wasn't sure if I was the right person to talk to.

Seems that he was feeling self-conscious about his intelligence. He feels as though he will always be dumb, regardless of how much he learns. I hated to see my friend down in the dumps like that, and gave him some encouragement to keep trying. After all, it's been copious amount of effort, as opposed to skill, that has gotten me through my first year of college.

Rosario accused me of rubbing my own achievements in his face. (Wait, I have achievements?) He also seemed to believe that based on intelligence alone, I could probably win against him in a game of chess. Of course, I told him that I've barely played chess in my life, and have no experience in it whatsoever. I was also skeptical of the popular claim that chess skill and intelligence are intimate with one another. However, Rosario seemed certain that I could beat him at a game I barely know how to play, based solely off my college grades.

We played 3 games of chess online, and I had to learn as we played. Of course, I ended up losing each of the games. Safe to say, Rosario was feeling a lot better now. Glad I could cheer him up. Though I have to admit, I may suck at chess, but it was a lot of fun. Maybe we can do this more often. But until then...
