Battlers of Crime
Crime after crime,
evil just will not die.
Whether it is the ones that are misunderstood,
or some that had a terrible childhood.
The truth never lies.
Yet, crimes cannot be undone.
Many criminals think they have won.
No stone is left unturned.
So many answers left yearned.
No apologies can fix what is done.
Tears are shed for the fallen.
Often, the fallen are left rotten.
Charred.
Sliced.
Diced.
Dehumanized beyond recognition.
All based on one inhumane decision.

Babies are being born by the minute,
if not by the second.
Yet, there are as many criminals getting apprehended.
A human being is like a quarter.
A half percent chance of turning out good
and the other turning out bad.
At times, one can think of the quarter rolling on its side as a sign of turning out as both.
The sign of one being on the line that bares both good and bad.
There is no crime that has not left anyone sad or mad.
The only thing that most of us can do is hope.
Hope that one day the wrongdoings go down a faster slope.
The days of fear have increased to high
as trust issues is what is left to lie.

Note: This poem is dedicated to the television show "Criminal Minds." I have heavily enjoyed watching this show and wanted to write a poem for it. I sincerely apologize for not writing last week or this week for that matter as I had promised for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday due to certain circumstances. I will be back on schedule next week!
