Today, I went to check on the Giant Tree again just before sunset. When the sun set and the full moon rose above the horizon, Mithos appeared again! He could tell I was bothered by something and asked me what was wrong, so I explained the situation to him.
The situation with my rivals got worse. Mighty finally agreed to battle against Karen, and he won. Now I understand why he was reluctant to accept her challenge. He only knows one offensive spell. The rest of his magic is defensive and healing. His strategy is to survive until his opponent runs out of mana, then he strikes. It's a great strategy, but it's grueling to fight against.
Karen told Mighty she still wouldn't accept him as my ultimate rival unless he could beat me in combat, so now Mighty wants to fight me. I guess he feels pretty confident after beating Karen, even though he barely won. He wouldn't shut up about it, so I agreed to fight him, but I wasn't sure if I could win against that obnoxious fighting style of his.
Mithos seemed to understand my frustration and offered some helpful advice. He suggested that I try to improve my strongest spell. My strongest, of course, is Indignation Judgement, but I can only pull it off during over-limit which consumes a lot of my stamina. Mithos seemed very confident that I could break through Mighty's impressive defense with a powerful spell like that and then finish him off with one or two high level spells. His confidence in me boosted my own confidence, so I decided to try it.
It took a while, but under his guidance I was actually able to take Indignation Judgement to the next level! Not long after I succeeded, Mithos began to fade away again. He said he couldn't stay any longer or his mana consumption may harm the tree. I was sad to see him go, but we agreed to meet each other again during the next full moon.
Now that I've got my new spell, I have to practice it thoroughly. Once I master it, I'll be ready to battle. I can't wait to see Mighty's face when I cast it!
