is that everyone knows what it's like to have someone to hold, to kiss, to cherish, to love, and to spend forever with.
I couldn't imagine my life without my husband, he's not only my husband, but he's my best friend, and the father of my child. He's definitely been there for me through the good times and the bad.
Everyone needs somebody, and everyone goes through bouts of loneliness and depression, so it truly is my wish this Valentines Day that everyone gets hit by Cupids arrow.
My advice to those who feel like they'll forever be alone; don't... I know it seems that way now, but that's not the truth. I've been there before, before I met my husband I felt like I would never find the one for me, I had pretty much given up on love. See all that time I was searching for love wishing upon many stars, I never realized that sometimes love finds us. I know this sounds corny, but I do agree with that Hallmark movie series called "Love Comes Softly", because sometimes love comes softly. I mean yea we want to be in control, and as humans we want to write our own destiny and kind of hurry things along, but trust me when I say that it's better to wait for the true one instead of settling.
There's two sayings that ring true;
1. Sometimes you gotta kiss a lotta frogs before you find your prince.
And 2. The first one is usually the decoy and the second one is the real McCoy.
So if you've been burnt before in love, don't let that deter you! Just give yourself time to heal and love will find a way into your life, you just gotta have faith! Just cling on to as much hope as you can, wish upon a star, dream a dream, and what you believe will be in time.
Relationships aren't perfect, and love DOES take work, but it's worth it!
Ps. True love waits, so don't rush in, they say only fools rush in. Respect yourself enough to wait. Most relationships fail because of rushing in to things like that. Maybe I'm too old fashioned but I believe marriage should come before you know what. Remember, if someone truly loves you they will wait for you, and likewise you will wait for them.
I've been married to my husband for around 5 years, we both waited and our love just keeps getting stronger and stronger because of it.
Just look around and you'll see that most couples that remain together are those who have put their significant others needs and wants above their own, and likewise, that all balances it out.
True love gives and never takes. True love forgives and never holds grudges. True love waits. True love endures. True love lasts a lifetime.
