This year's itinerary was simple - visit all the good tonkatsu restaurants! Plus:
- Visit parks in Kyoto
- Eat Ramen in Osaka
- Visit the Ghibli museum again
- See the Unicorn Gundam at Diver City
- Visit the One Piece theme park inside Tokyo Tower
- Take a dip at an onsen
- Shopping at Akiba
Last trip we spent our time finding the best ramen restaurants, this year we found all the best Tonkatsu places. The best tonkatsu restaurant in Japan had a 2 hour wait for lunch, while the second best place had hardly any wait and the food was just as good. We will be visiting Tonta again the next time we're there.
Right after getting back, I found myself with a nasty cold and was out of commission for almost a week! I guess it's better than catching it on the way to Japan...
Back at Gaia, the mobile app had some delay with summer event and also with halloween event coming up. But meanwhile we had the LK update ready and the team had been working on reformatting our header as well as the forum pages so that they will be nice and fast when viewed on any mobile devices! It's a long time coming and I'm happy to have infinite scrolling on forum pages now. We started the effort in using new HTML5 framework starting with Gaia's front page, now we can apply what we learn on the forums. Can't wait to release them!
