"An object in motion stays in motion, an object at rest stays at rest" - This is Sir Issac Newton's first law of motion (also know as the law of inertia).
And of course that can also be used for people too!
I've been at rest for so long that it's just easier to stay at rest than the get up and go. I've been beating myself up for a while not for not being as productive as I could be...and at times not even wanting to be. But of course in my younger days when I was always out and about...it was easier to always be on the move.
I'm starting to think...is this what 30 feels like? Feeling complacent with how things are and just going with us. Yuck. gonk It's a different kind of feeling when aging starts to kick in...and by aging I mean seeing younger kids becoming rich and successful while I'm at 27's doorstep still trying to figure it all out. Social media shows this 22, 23, and 24 year olds living their best life and making good money and I'm just...here.
In other news...I think it's time for an update.
I finally had my interview after what seems like 2+ weeks of trying to schedule a date to come into the office. We settled on 10:00am this past Friday (that later turned into 10:30am) at 2U HQ, Lanham, MD. I left at about 7:40am and made it there by 10:15am. And that's after having to stop for gas and stop AGAIN to get cash for tolls. And thank God for Google Maps's traffic accuracy that had me going around the Delaware streets to avoid traffic on 95 (although I still paid all of the tolls) and get me there right on time.
All-in-all, I met Carly, got a small tour of the place, met with Blake (again), Julie and Erin and had a good time in the process. I hope it went as well as I felt it did and I hope they get back to me fairly quickly. I am beyond ready for a change...I'm almost desperate for it...and I really think this company is perfect for my immediate professional goals.
I'm actually really distracted now and don't feel like writing...I actually don't feel like much of anything right now. Ugh. Hopefully tomorrow I'll want to finish this.
