So here is what I don't really understand, people who don't spend a lot of their time online and actually have a life say meeting people online can be dangerous, that the friendships or relationships don't last a long time. I'm here to explain that this is a false notion, for years I've been on websites and games online meeting new people and making new friends around the world. This is what I love about the internet you aren't limited to a specific group of people or a specific demographic. You are open to a whole new world of people, opinions, and interests of others, you can learn so much by meeting people over the internet. Of course you have to be careful when meeting new people and making friends over the internet but it can be very rewarding some if not most of the time, Some of my best friends, I've met online and became real life friends and not just friends through a screen. It can happen, with that being said I met two new people about a week and a half ago here on Gaia and I'm now very close to both of them. Below is the story:

About a week and a half ago, I went into towns 2 which I haven't done before, back in the day when I first started there was only towns 1 which is the original towns. That is basically the virtual world aspect for those who haven't visited the towns on here yet. I wanted to go there to explore and see if I could start a conversation and meet some new people, I ended up meeting three new people that night and we all became close friends now about a week and a half later. We all talked for hours and hours on end that night I went to the towns, and meeting these people so far has been very rewarding to me. I met 3 guys and one girl that night the girls name is Reina she is adorbs even though she is younger then me we always have something to talk about and she is fun to be around as a person. Then I met a guy named mini on here him and I have been skyping almost everyday if not everyday every other day we happen to live in the same area and are basically the same person just different genders. He is an amazing person and so far I'm glad I've met him we talk non stop all of the time and I love it. Than I met a guy named Mr.Gold he's really fun to talk to and we just clicked as friends, hes fun to hangout with and we enjoy each others company. And then the last person I met is named Blue, he became my Gaia big brother after that night, and I love that we have met his personality is amazing and chatting with him is never boring.

So for people to ever turn around to you and say you can't stay friends with people you have met online that is obviously false. The only reason you don't stay friends with someone is if you do something where both of you stop being friends or the friendship grows apart. A friendship online is just like a friendship in the real world only difference is you're in different places.But it is possible to meet new people and make new friends and actually stick around with them some of my best friends like I said were met online. I'm so happy and pleased that I've met these amazing people after coming back to Gaia after so long, and I hope to meet more people as I continue my journey through this site.
