It's time for an update.
So for the past week and a half, Rob and I have been sleeping in the day bed (that his mother used to sleep on) in the back room...which is about the size of a twin and fortunately his room remodel was officially completed as of Saturday and completed/completed as of Saturday (the carpet guys had to come back on Sunday to finish the last bit of carpet.
The room looks GOOD. Rob's really happy with the results, I am too. It's the first step in really getting this house to look like something. Last night he also got rid of that gray, container/shelf thing that's been there for like...ever, so we're on the right track!
The guy and his partner were able to strip and reframe the walls, build and install the closet, re-do the ceiling and install pot lights, paint, install a new door and lay down the carpet. So grateful crying
Our immediate next steps are to finish this bathroom and get a washer/dryer which will probably be another couple thousand. The walls in the bathroom need to be painted and finished and a new window needs to be installed along with the shower curtain rod being installed....after that we can move onto the downstairs...that includes a complete kitchen overhaul. blasting down walls and reframing the stairs. That's going to be a big one.
All in due time. I'm going to cancel my gym membership today - which should allow me to use it until the end of April, if I so choose and I will also give my moving out notice sometime this week as well.
I'll finally be moving in. Now all I need to do is focus on achieving. I still get home and don't want to do anything. I think setting up a little desk area for me downstairs might be useful. 3nodding
In other life coach news...I'm perturbed.
So I finally get a proposal from Ray (my prospective life coach) and I'm hung up on the price. He's talmbout a) He normally charges $300 per hour -- BIXCH your profile said $150 per hour...you know...the profile I FOUND you on -- but he'll charge $150 per house to offset the cost of my labor for him...really? stare b) You don't even take insurance...it's one thing if you charge the insurance companies $300 but since you're charging me directly...you need to bring that original price all the way down c) His proposal outlined seven sessions (with each session being two hours) and I'd imagine this would take place over a 3-month span for a total of $2100 over three months for 14 hours - I'll round it up to 20 for the outside works breaking down to $105/hour.
...which I guess is fine, but I guess my issue is with him saying that he normally charges $300 but will knock it down to $150 to include my labor.
Ugh. Who knew finding a life coach would be so hard.
What I'll do is 1) Call Stuart and see if he's willing to chat and 2) Talk to both Rob and Meredith about it.
To be continued...
Love heart
Ryo
