A lone sparrow hopped across the moss-covered riverbank before darting back into the sky with a fluttering of delicate wings. A solitary willow tree wept, its green tears cascading into the flowing water below. The dying moon began to fade into the rising sun's warm embrace, engulfing herself in a haze of rose and peach hues. Enchanted dew-kissed flowers danced on rocks composed of quartz and amethyst. Sunbeams illuminated a field of blushing daisies, the breeze whispering among the flourishing blossoms. The gentle touch of warm daylight teasing and tickling the balmy springtime air.
Oonagh lay on a bed of velvety grass beneath a roseate sky, her elfin physique lit by the waking sun that yawned and slowly rose into the heavens. A trickle of golden sunlight ran down Oonagh’s cheek, warming ivory flesh. A white tunic draped itself over her body, the cotton fabric caressing silken skin. Slowly, Oonagh sat up, disheveled silvery white strands tumbling over porcelain shoulders. A sigh escaped pretty lips, lost to forest birdsong. She heard the contented chatter of birds and the slow, rhythmic hum of honey bees. Slender fingers brushed against white cotton softness, flicking away stray petals and blades of grass.
Oonagh rose to her feet, watery sunlight catching in silvery platinum tresses. She walked the earth freely, floating across dampened soil. She belonged to no one, to nothing. She was a free spirit, a playful summer breeze. Oonagh flitted in and out of the trees like a recurring dream, departing silently in a forest of humming dragonflies and waving flowers.
It was another beautiful morning.
