Okay, so as we all know, today marked the new arrival of a brand new Gaia layout. Which also means more petitions, complaints, arguments, and drama.
For one, the petitions most likely aren’t going to do any good. When we had the last layout, there were a lot of petitions going around for the admins to reinstate the previous layout they had before that one. And, as we all know, that never happen. So it probably wont happen this time.
Instead of complaining about how ‘ong, thiz new layout sux’, why not gather up some likes and dislikes about this layout, and even the old one, and have your friends do the same. That way, instead of overwhelming the admins with badly written, drama filled, angst complains, you can show the admins maybe a whole new view. Maybe they could even try to make a layout that almost everybody can enjoy. (Because no matter how hard you try, you can’t please everyone.)
Let’s face it, the admins are probably going to change the layout again. Maybe even dozens of times more. The fact is, not every one of those layouts might be the greatest thing ever, or maybe it’ll be a fantastic layout that they decide to keep for a long time. Does it really matter what the site looks like anyways? I mean, you still have the forums, the avatars, gold, trolls, guilds, and games. Does it matter to you guys THAT much on how the damn site looks? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t much care for this sort of layout. It looks very nice, but I don’t like how they arranged it. I also don’t like the fact that threads you already have been in aren’t shaded, and the JavaScript in the navigation bar is gone. But I’ll learn to live with it. As long as the site is still here, and I get to do the same things I normally have, I’m completely happy. Besides, you guys have to admit, the A-Z feature is pretty nifty. I’m not asking that you guys don’t have your opinions, or that you don’t voice them. I’m asking that you guys give this layout a chance. The same thing happens with every layout change, and it’s a lot of the same people who keep complaining that they liked the past layout better, no matter what the layout change. The admins worked hard on this new layout, just give it a chance. It’s not the layout that makes the site, it’s the experience you have and the friends you make and the memories you share.
