As much as I'm in no hurry to actually draft a new roleplay, I've had it in my head to re-work my rules for them in order to outline what is rules and what is more preference. Basically hoping this new draft might make others more inclined to like the rules just as much as I'd hope they'd be into the premise.
- [RULES- may be worded different pending premise] -
1.) Respect Gaia forum rules and Tos (this is required to avoid myself or members from getting into trouble with Gaia staff such as admins and mods)
2.) No God-moding (Powers/abilities should be balanced and well within the standard capabilities of a given character's species and within the framing of the world and it's power scale. Should grading and EXP be involved, growth will be decided by a set rate of gain with point distribution likely decided by the player.)
3) No R-18 content, such as cybering or extremely graphic material. (another required regulation. Anything deemed too graphic such as lengthy gorey details that come down to the minutia of the exact severity of a wound/kill and the hot and heavy petting is left to the mind of the players involved)
4) Communicate absence and abandonment to the GM (basically my most valued common rule; You intend to "poof" for any amount of time? tell me what you want done with your character and if it's temporary- how long you estimate to be gone. If puppeteering beyond what you have asked is required, I will try to handle it within a reasonable manner)
5) Keep external issues out of your character interactions (Got beef with the person behind another character? Don't drag your issues with you into the main roleplay forum. Either talk civilly over PMs amongst yourselves or avoid each other and possibly posting until the dispute is behind you. Forums are, at least in my mind, meant to be fun , so let's try and keep that mentality please)

+ Please fill in all parts of your application yourself. I'm not fit to know what you should and shouldn't adapt of your character onto the sheet. If you have questions on a section or something related to the world I failed to flesh out, please ask me. I will do my best to answer and help, but I don't have the time nor patience to parse a lengthy backstory from another version of your character just to weed out details that fit the world. If nothing fits, draft a new version with details you want kept re-worked for the new world. I know it's a pain, I've done it plenty myself...
+ Character image preferences are stacked as follows: your art/commission of your character > An image of a character similar to yours(preferably with consent to use the image from it's original artist) > Photos of actual people (which you may or may not have consent to use)
This hierarchy is main because it's technically art theft to use a piece of someone's work for a certain purpose without permission. Hence I try to use my own art (as mediocre as it is) rather than images found on image sharing sites like Photo-bucket or others' content from places like DeviantArt. If you lack an image for your character, there are plenty of artists who do requests or commissions who'd willingly do the job.
I will only accept a profile with a photo of an actual person as reference if a.) It's the absolute best representation for your character within the given world. b.) You have source links and can (hopefully) show that the image is either free for public use or you specifically have permission to use it.
This is out of respect for those who either created the image (artwork) or those whose likeness is being used as a cover image of sorts (person in photograph) as well as photographers who worked with the image during and after the picture taking process.
