According to Tokyo city officials, the Shibuya Travel Plaza has been suspected of being a scam. April came and the Consumer Affairs Agency received more and more complaints from customers who are concerned about the tickets they booked and paid for online.
The travel agency was located in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward. More than 600 customers who sought their services and reserved plane tickets for Golden Week filed their complaints. No one has been able to contact the agency since the end of March and the customers never received the tickets they paid for.
The clients reported that they purchased tickets from the agency and spent more than 300,000 yen. One of the clients expressed his disappointed and told how the company got his travel funds for him and his wife. He booked a trip to Kyushu for four days and three nights and paid the fees in full. The payment amounted to 94,000 yen. He tried to reach out and contact the travel agency because he did not receive the tickets.
