Just a general update. Having a little trouble sleeping, so *shrug* here I am.

Let's see. I'm married now. Julian and I got married last spring. Mama had a stroke ten days later. So things have been difficult around here, with a few of us stepping in to help Dad with Mama's care.

I'm still working in the fabric store. I could go full time, but I really don't want to do that. On the other hand, I also want to have kids and work from home. I've been sending out resumes, but my heart really isn't in it. It's a mess.

Julian is doing well. He was promoted, which is terrific and would be even more terrific had he gotten a raise with the extra work.

We are still working on the house. From the looks of things, we are going to be still working on it when the kids have graduated and gone off on their own. The floors need to be replaced and just ... so much work needs to be done. I don't mind doing the work. In fact, I'd be happy to do it. It's the whole getting the money together to buy the materials to do the work on the house that is causing problems.

With Mama's stroke, my sister is taking care of her more than the rest of us. One of my brothers had a baby last fall and that took him out of the equation. The baby is a little girl and she's just adorable, btw. My elder siblings are too busy to help much although they pretend not to be. Neither of them are much use. Which basically leaves me and Vi. I help where I can, but Vi is doing the most.

And this isn't helping much. At least the holidays were good.
