naruhina vs. Amourshipping
Amourshipping and naruhina is a little similar, I admit. But there's a lot amourshipping falls short on that makes me not care for it like naruhina.
*the reason for the crush:
I always feel for hinata way more than serena. She was put down and shunned by her dad for being weak. However, when she saw naruto, he gave her courage to try better. Serena however, fell for ash when he 'saved' her... from a scared poliwag? What. A. Joke. Okay fine. For all we know, she could've liked ash cuz he helped her with her knee for being an idoit. Now with naruto, she didn't really know him when hints fell for him, while ash didn't remember her till serena pushed him to. The thing is though, all ash is for serena is someone to swoon and blush over, while naruto gave hinata a couple things: hope and couage.
*Guys meaning to the girls:
Serena seems a little possessive and easy jelous over ash. Why though? Does she feel so lost without ash-sama? Oh no, what if she's an idoit again and instead of scrape something, actually breaks a lag? With ash-sama, at least he can help her to stop crying...
However, naruto gave hinata the streanth to keep going, keep trying. That's why she was able to actually become a ninja, take the chunin exams including survive the forest of death, stand against neji without backing down, to fight to protect naruto, and to be strong enough in her father's eyes. Serena barely does anything too sacrificial, and mostly relies on ash to protect her, and do simple things like walk over a long. Even with all this, hinata does not feel the need to be possessive over naruto.
*sacrifices/things done for crush:
serena:...well, she helped him out in a couple battles. Oh, & gave him a hankerchief he didn't give a rats a** about back.
hinata: -gave him a chance to cheat, risking her & her team members from being disqualified
-made ointment for him & gave it to him
-fought on, for naruto's ninja way
-encourage him for the neji fight when he felt discouraged about it
-protect him from pain
Its in the guys personality to be kind and sacrificial (expcailly naruto). But hey why not... and i'll add some things to show proable interest on their side too.
Ash:
-gave a useless ribbon that has no value to him, to her
-helped her with a scrape on the knee and made her feel better
-helped her over a log
-along with clemont, helped her learn how to fish
-thanked her for help for idea to help win a gym
Naruto:
-made a blood vow for hinata's sake after neji's fight (while other fights may po'ed him and felt others where a-holes, hinata's was the only one where he stood up to neji to VOW to win)
-"I always though that you were just a plain looking, dark weirdo...But a person like you...I really like!"
-"Where is hinata? Is she watching?" (Sakura wasn't even thought about like 'maybe Sakura well be into me now' /blush&grin)
-was trying to act tough and strong in the written exam
-was able to open up to hinata about feeling uncomfortable about the neji fight (when did he open up to anyone else about his insecurities?)
Both are few and far between, but with naruhina, I was able to give the same amount of things as amourshipping. Why is that a big deal? Because Serena is actually TRAVELING WITH ASH, whereas hinata was on a completely different team and rarely got the chance to see him.
So all in all, this is why I find amourshipping boring. There is no substance to it, even compared to most other ash shippings.
