Circumcision Thread + Forcing Peeps To Watch Something
My answer doesn't change, but I'm'a just look at some stupid s**t.
Post: "Watching videos of circumcisions is incredibly distressing. If women had to watch while their sons were being circumcised--while their own bodies are still full of lovey nurturing hormones--I wonder if this practice would cease completely. Appeal to emotion? Maybe. But, hey, what isn't?"
Response: "You could say the same of any surgical procedure. Should we force people to watch an appendectomy, too? It's pretty distressing."
One is a necessity, the other isn't. False equivalency, as to be expected, but I wanna do something special. I'm'a paste the second half of the response with some tweaks & pizzazz. See, the first argument presents the idea of, "If you watch it happen, it will change ur mind on it." The second one presents, "Something else will happen, thus proving watching it will not change your idea on it", while also claiming, "all things thou watcheth shall be taken thou shouldeth."

Alright, so I guess I should add appendectomy & male circumcision to the list of "Must See" events. They go under my #1 Must See Event that I recommend to everyone, which is an actual raep. Another is obviously a female circumcision. I don't remember watching an assisted suicide or an actual suicide, so they would take priority. I've watched peeps' businesses being smashed & obvs when Garner was choked to blubber land or whatevs.
Dese eyes hab seen tings on teh intarnetwebz, but what if we force peeps to watch tings dat doesn't affect dem? See, there's the psychological mishap. As a torture device, forcing the original poster to watch the circumcision is what torments them. Forcing the one asking wut u "should" force peeps to watch would also be tormented. Me watching it will not hab any effect on moi, Le Core.
See, I don't really care dat you're cutting off Future Christfags' Foreskin or anyone else, cuz slicing off baby parts is something I'm not against. The problem is dat you think I care about YOUR pain. Oh ho, on the contrary, sleazebag. Wut I hab a problem with is with ur hypocrisy & lies.
