Sci Fi Authors - A Look into the Future, through the eyes in men ahead time. written by: Genxus Before three centuries, multiple novelists traveled through time and space, metaphorically speaking, to enlighten us of the mysterious workings of many fictitious worlds that lots of us know and love today. You could state that these authors were ahead of time, sufficient reason for their imaginative minds, they could evoke a whole new kind of entertainment we all now referred to as Science Fiction. Science Fiction comes in many forms, any situation that derives itself from non-fiction can be considered science fiction. Possibly one of the more popular authors inside the science fiction genre, H.P Lovecraft, born inside the late 1800s, wrote rather mysterious and mind bending science fiction novels. To date, his hottest and well known novel "The Call of Cthulhu", has influenced the many forms of science fiction entertainment we view in our time. The rather ominous and dark novel, involving creatures business worlds and dimensions has taken form as several video gaming, and it has even taken form in the creation of multiple sci-fi movies, like John Carpenters "Finished .Inches, which has many similarities to Lovecraft's fascination with detail about the gruesome creatures that are in his multiple novels.

H.P Lovecraft's effort is unique, however only represents a tiny area of the sci-fi genre. For instance, another author who has influenced various forms of contemporary science fiction entertainment, including multiple major motion films, games, books, toys, etc., examine George Lucas well-known for the creation of the forever loved Gi Joe. ‘Future’s Fight: The Angels of Abaddon’ was a great introduction to a complex dystopian world. The underground cities reminded me of the post-apocalyptic world of the Wool series by Hugh Howey, which is one of my favorites, but Stacey Welsh takes it a step further by creating characters with knowledge of what humanity did to destroy Earth, and a distinct class system of bottom dwellers and those more fortunate. Because of this we get a much more complex social struggle, highlighted by the relationship between sisters Sophie and Elizabeth. ”Future’s Fight” caught my attention and kept it, while the ending left me yearning to know what comes next beyond the care and protection of the oppressive underground city.
