As the reports of falling unemployment numbers are released, more people are embarking on a search for a new job or even seeking a career change. What appears to have surprised some people is that now, more than ever, technology has reshaped the job search landscape. Not only do many employers no longer accept traditional paper applications, but they may schedule your interview via e-mail, and even conduct at least some part of your interview on-line via Skype, on-line chat, or other virtual communications vehicle. Unfortunately, those who lack at least basic computer skills will likely find themselves limited to lower-paying jobs with little to no advancement potential.
